Zul'Dare on the Lands of Conflict map.

Zul'Dare, or Zul'dare, is an island on the southern edge of the Channel Islands of Baradin Bay. Judging by the linguistic style of its name, it is likely to have been at least partially inhabited by trolls at some point in its past.

This sizable island to the southeast of Gilneas is considered a part of their kingdom and remains inviolate. Kul Tiras ships have traveled to the island's cliffs, sending carrier pigeons with pleas for help, but there has so far been no response. Indeed, some ships do not return at all. Rumors in Kul Tiras point to a naga force hiding somewhere in the area, and some whisper that Gilneas is in their possession.[1] (LoC 97)

During the Second War, orcs built a base on the island in order to make their strike towards Lordaeron's shores. Sometime later the Alliance forces discovered the base and sent forces to destroy it.

A map of Gilneas shown at BlizzCon 2009 shows the island much smaller and closer to shore than it has appeared in previous maps. It appears to be part of a larger fortress complex on the shore southeast of Greymane City and has only a single tower built upon its central hill, the turret of which lays ruined at the tower's foot. There are no signs of Horde or troll presence on the island, and it will probably play only a small role in Worgen low-level questing.
