Argus

Mac'Aree

File:Argus.JPG

You see that little white spot on the planet's surface? Yep, that's Mac'Aree

+ At least one NPC from the zone

? It was said (though before the Sargeras/Eredar retcon) that Eredar had consumed their own homeworld, so Mac'Aree might no longer exist, as whole Argus.

? If we are to ever destroy the Legion in WoW, this city might be major stronghold of the Legion, as the capital of Argus, Eredar homeworld and probably man'ari headquarter.

Eastern Kingdoms

Gilneas

File:Greymane.JPG

Someone behind the wall?

+ Metzen mentioned in a BlizzCast they have some very, very, very interesting plans for Gilneas and are doing some awesome stuff for the area.

+ Established place in lore as human nation.

+ One of the developers admitted that they have forgotten about Gilneas. Now, when reminded of it, they might do something with it.

? Nobody knows what has happened inside Gilneas since the end of the Second War.

? Gilneas might have an new king that would open up Gilneas from its isolation.

There is however no proof to support this theory and the naga may have taken over Gilneas. Which then of course would make Gilneas a perfect dungeon/micro dungeon but would make it impossible for the king to reopen it unless Gilneas becomes like Stromgarde were the people of Gilneas control one part while the naga control the other. It would explain why Gilneas would ever reopen the Greymane Wall.

Kul Tiras

Kul Tiras Sailor

Hey, man. Do you know where my nation went?

+ Established place in lore as human nation.

+ Many NPCs in game seems to originate in Kul Tiras.

+ Kul Tiras was said to survive both the Scourge and the Legion mostly untouched. Unless something bad happened after Admiral Daelin Proudmoore's departure, it might still be large and powerful human nation.

Emerald Dream

+ The Emerald Dream has already been visited in WoW via hacks.

Kalimdor

Hyjal Summit

+ Already, most of the area is designed.

? Possible as starting zone for several (yet) unplayable races, including furbolgs and dark trolls, or theater of new event.

South Seas

Broken Isles

File:Brokenisles.jpg

Broken Isles during the Third War

? Location of the Tomb of Sargeras.

Dragon Isles

Dragon Isles

Concept art

+ Has concept art already.

? Not much known about this place, they (or one of them) may be home of one of the dragonflights.

? Group of adventures planned to build a device to raise Nazjatar to the surface of the ocean in RPG book Shadows & Light. If they managed, it may have become the island in the concept art (see above).

Similarity to the dead old god in Master's Glaive hints too to nagas, since they were allies of Old Gods, who were behind their new form

? May appear in Sea expansion.

Kezan

File:Undermine.jpg

Well, we have at least something...

+ Mentioned in early scraps as a continent.

+ Established place in lore as goblin capital.

? May fit good with the Great Sea expansion as a neutral capital, like Shattrath City or Dalaran. It is however unlikely that Blizzard would make a new zone just to create a new neutral city, Then of course they might add new monsters, quests, dungeons etc.

That is, unless, they make Kezan instead of just Undermine.

? Could be used as a questing hub similar to the isle of quel'danas in BC.

? Kezan could feature new instances and quest lines, Black Dragonflight invading the isle and Deathwing in Mt. Kajaro, for example.

Maelstrom

Maelstromundersea

Underneath the Maelstrom

+ Established place in lore as naga capital.

+ Established place in lore as makrura capital.

Plunder Isle

+ Established place in lore as Bloodsail Buccaneers' main base.

Tel Abim

? Mentioned in-game via items, like Inv misc food 24 [Tel'Abim Banana] and Inv drink 12 [Message in a Bottle].

Zandalar

+ Established place in lore as troll capital.

? May fit well with the Great Sea expansion as a neutral capital, like Shattrath City or Dalaran. It is unlikely that Blizzard would make a new zone just to create a new neutral city, Then of course they might add new monsters, quests, dungeons etc.
