Forums: Village pumpWarcraft lore So the Horde totally killed Arthas...

So there has been some debate in the community about which faction killed Arthas. Both versions were equally cool, but Blizzard hasn't declared which one is canon...except they have. They just didnt announce it. I feel the case is justified by Orkus the Kingslayer. Hes a parody of elitist players, bragging about his achievements. While at first I had a good laugh at this seemingly joke of a character, it got me thinking. He plays a major part in the launch of the Hillsbrad questline, thus making him a lore character of sorts. So...being the only character in-game that took part in the death of the Lich King, wouldnt that mean that the Horde downed the lord of the dead? Because if Orkus helped kill Arthas, that means that the Horde story (where the Alliance was defeated in the gunship battle) was accurate. Opinions? --Blacktouch (talk) 11:21, 20 January 2011 (UTC)

He obviously changed factions when Cataclysm came out. --PcjWowpedia wiki manager (TDrop me a line!C207,729 contributions and counting) 13:24, 20 January 2011 (UTC)
Also, his name is Kingslayer Orkus, not Orkus the Kingslayer. He later admits that he never saw the fall of the Lich King.--SWM2448 18:16, 20 January 2011 (UTC)

Well Ill be schwiggered! I missed when he said that one, but now I looked it up and its right there in his quotes. I appreciate the correction, because I was like "Whoa."

In the end... it was Tirion Fordring that killed the king and saved the day.... and to protect what happened that day, he used the light to blind the rest of the people there and pushed them off the edge, so that he would be the only survivor. Then he had the statue built in Dalaran to remember all those that have fallen. SnakeSssssssssssssssssssssssss Coobra sig3For Pony! (Sssss/Slithered) 06:50, 21 January 2011 (UTC)
