Items / armor Edit

Since category:armor, is a subcategory of Category:items, they do not need to be linked to both categories. Same with daggers, since they are already a subcategory from weapons. :) CJ 08:15, 5 April 2006 (EDT)

Moving content onto category pages Edit

May I ask why you are moving content from article pages onto category pages? This is contrary to the Category Policy. It makes cagories difficult to browse and causes great difficulties with the wiki. For example, a link to Badlands now gets redirected to the category page, but because articles are not meant to redirect to categories, none of the articles in the category show up. The "What links here" also does not function correctly.--Aeleas 18:56, 6 April 2006 (EDT)

I have to agree with Aeleas here. Category pages are already being over-used and we should encourage this practice. Putting long content on a category page makes it that much harder to get to the list of articles which is the true purpose of a category. Most of the zones have the unfortunate precedent of using category pages for what should be a separate article, but we shouldn't encourage or reproduce the practice. --Fandyllic 5:55 PM PDT 6 Apr 2006
Totally agree - I did one because there were others (about twelve category zones) and I wasn't convinced either way until I did one. I stopped because I didn't like it either (I actually slept badly because of it, that's how wrong it felt) and resolved to put it back in the morning. I redid Town → Towns though, I hope that was ok! --Tidywave 01:59, 7 April 2006 (EDT)

Potion shakeup Edit

I'm spending a little time working over the potions articles, as they are a little haphazard. They were long overdue for category markup and this gave me a chance to realise just how many articles are stubs. Each one should have a recipe and description at the very least.

Spaces in names for Transmute abilities Edit

The in-game named for the transmute skills do indeed have a space (ie Transmute: Gold rather than Transmute:Gold). Shouldnt references and articles about transmuting use the same formatting? - Azh 14:49, 28 April 2006 (EDT)

Ah - I thought you were using a namespace. Fair enough! Tidywave 16:11, 28 April 2006 (EDT)

Nominating pages for deletion Edit

If you nominate a page for deletion be sure to create a vote on the discussion page using {{Subst:Delete/Talk}} and then you should also vote to delete it and give a reason. Otherwise the pages are just going to sit in the wiki with a delete tag until the end of time.--Ralthor 15:41, 7 May 2006 (EDT)
