Image licenses in upload Licensing menu

The menu list is in MediaWiki:Licenses. The actual license menu items have code like this:

 **license_template_name|menu_item_label So  **C-blizz|Image from the official website or magazine would insert C-blizz when you selected "Image from the official website or magazine".

Is that what you wanted to know? --Gengar orange 22x22Beware the sneaky smile! Fandyllic (talk · contr) 29 Dec 2015 3:08 PM Pacific

I believe so. I'm still confused as to how make those options appear when I select an image though. If I try to upload a picture here: , none of those options appear >.>. If you can/want, please help =[, I'm so confused. <---I can't even create an "infobox" for this. —This unsigned comment is by Necrophotic (talkcontribs) 10:30, January 3, 2016. Changing the license after uploading an image

You don't have to delete the image, just change the template used on the image description page.

For example, if you go to w:c:wowmagic:File:Undead_Warlock_using_Life_Tap.jpg and click "Edit", you'll see the following code:

Licensing
Just change TCG to RPG (or whatever the right license template should be as listed in w:c:wowmagic:MediaWiki:Licenses). --Gengar orange 22x22Beware the sneaky smile! Fandyllic (talk · contr) 2 Feb 2016 4:44 PM Pacific

Separating game from lore info

If you want to do this, I'm fine with it. I undid the changes you made on Arcane magic because you removed cited info from the World of Warcraft: Chronicle Volume 1. Your main interest seems to be in magic types, so if you want to split them up, go ahead, but try to cross link to the other related article.

Article naming suggestions:

 • Disambig: magic type
 • In-game: magic type (WoW)
 • Lore: magic type (lore)

Stuff to put in each article type:

Were you looking for:
* magic type (WoW)
* magic type (lore)
* other stuff

other uses
lore on magic type

other uses
in-game info on magic type

It's okay mate. I removed the stuff from the arcane magic page because I was planning on re-implementing it when I have time, but I'll try to make sure my work is complete before just saving those changes. My main interest is magic and I just want to help fill these pages up with information so people can gain some knowledge=] —This unsigned comment is by Necrophotic (talkcontribs) 19:54, July 7, 2016. Editing the fel page

Go ahead, but please try to edit a section at a time or something like that rather than a series of changes all over. --Gengar orange 22x22Beware the sneaky smile! Fandyllic (talk · contr) 21 Jul 2016 3:56 PM Pacific

Heyo, the page is still locked boss. —This unsigned comment is by Necrophotic (talkcontribs) 18:31, July 31, 2016. Please sign your posts with ~~~~!
Try it now. I don't check your talk page constantly for messages, BTW. --Gengar orange 22x22Beware the sneaky smile! Fandyllic (talk · contr) 3 Aug 2016 4:10 PM Pacific
Hi Necrophotic
Nice job on the Fel magic page thus far. There's a lot of in-depth, useful info there!
I do want to caution you against something I notice in the content you have added. It is fine to quote Blizzard employees' statements on the topic, and to offer up other, official information which appears to contradict those statements. However, it is inappropriate to call Blizzard employees (or anyone, really) "Silly, nonsensical, liar, vapid twit" or other insults of the like. Please refrain from posting that type of content in articles. Offer facts and official statements only, keeping opinion separate. It is perfectly acceptable to voice your opinions and have discussions on the Fel magic talk page, or within our forums, but not in wiki articles.
On a separate note, some of the content you have added to this article appears within this wordpress article from earlier this year. Are you fruitmedley1029, and/or User:Fruitmedley ?

Thank you and alrighty, I'll tone the insults and accusations downs.

Please read the NPOV policy page carefully. Lines like: "The silly Matt Burns stated that he thinks there are some exceptions to that rule when it comes to Warcraft powers though since they are all magic." are completely inappropriate. Other users have actually complained about the POV stuff you have been inserting. I'm giving you a warning this time, but next time will just be a ban.

If you know you've been adding stuff like this, you should go back and clean it up. It isn't a mater of toning down. There should be no insults or accusations in articles. --Gengar orange 22x22Beware the sneaky smile! Fandyllic (talk · contr) 8 Aug 2016 12:49 PM Pacific

Too much change all at once

Raylan13 reverted this change and I agree with him. From an admin perspective, you removed over 1600 bytes of content. Your edit made too much change to easily evaluate or undo in pieces, so the whole thing has to get reverted. Try changing only a section or two at a time. --Gengar orange 22x22Beware the sneaky smile! Fandyllic (talk · contr) 12 Oct 2016 4:34 PM Pacific

You don't own anything on WoWWiki

Remember that. This is not your private playground. --Gengar orange 22x22Beware the sneaky smile! Fandyllic (talk · contr) 16 Nov 2016 11:29 AM Pacific

I didn't state that I own anything on WoWWiki or that it's my private playground. I'm not sure where the seemingly hostile comment is coming from. I do love magic-related lore, so I'm just trying make magic-related pages filled with information so people know what I know. =]. Is that cool?

Massive edits

While we appreciate the intent behind revamping pages, there's far too many changes happening at once for us to review and keep track of. I know it will slow down your editing for sure, but my preference would be for you to create a sandbox page to copy things over and make changes in - let Fandyllic or I know when you're completely done with the final sandbox version, and one of us can swing by and read through and make any changes or comments necessary. Then it can go "live".

For the sake of ease, you can make a sanbox page here. Stick to revamping one article at a time; obviously minor, one sentence here and there changes don't need to be sandboxed. Raylan13@fandom (talk) 16:39, November 17, 2016 (UTC)

Alrighty, that seems much better than just making too many changes at once. Thank you for redirecting me to that page boss =] So do I just place any information I need/want to on the sandbox page then contact you or Fandyllic? I've never done this. Necrophotic (talk) 16:51, November 17, 2016 (UTC)necrophotic

Yeah - I would copy over the article you want to work on in its entirety, save, then make whatever edits you want. Once you're done making those edits, just reach out to one of us and we can take a read-through Winky Raylan13@fandom (talk) 17:25, November 18, 2016 (UTC)

I think I know where you're going with Template:Process, but maybe there is a better name? It could easily get confused with proc. --Gengar orange 22x22Beware the sneaky smile! Fandyllic (talk · contr) 12 Dec 2016 5:01 PM Pacific

Just letting you know

I reverted your changes to Warlock (lore)‎‎ as it's clear your edit to that article was not done out of good faith.

I have informed Fandyllic of this on his talk page.

TessaVarzi (talk) 01:52, April 9, 2017 (UTC)TessaVarzi

My edit to the article was done out of good faith. Quite literally, the mortal warlocks ultimately got their art from Kil'jaeden the Deceiver. And do you know what a deceiver teaches? The art of deception, which the Daemons of WC1 itself are stated to have an aptitude for. Don't just go accusing me of not doing things out of good faith. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Necrophotic (talkcontr).

Why so much volatility?

Are you indecisive or just crazy? Anyway... your massive changes are disturbing our patrollers... so try to at least give a decent minimal edit summary if you're going to make so much change. --Gengar orange 22x22 Fandyllic (talk · contr) 11 Apr 2017 5:02 PM Pacific

Edit to Sargeras

The N'zoth image you added to Sargeras has been changed back to an image of Sargeras. Please use correct images for articles in the future. See [1] TessaVarzi (talk) 20:36, February 11, 2019 (UTC)TessaVarzi
