Suspect contributions

I have been going through your contributions and I haven't found anything constructive Example. If I don't see an improvement in the near future you will be flagged as vandal and banned from editing the wiki. --Adys 03:43, 10 February 2007 (EST)

THANK YOU EVERYONE :)

Dear Kirkburn, Baggins, Adys and everyone else,

As you know, I have fan fiction stories and other things. I thnk you all for helping me acheive this by making me this and allowing me to talk about things. I really appreciate this kindness in my life and I apologize on the thing I wrote in the High Elf chat.I also have many questions I hope can be answered. Im really not good at this, so I apologize to you all. Once again, thank you. :) Mr.X8 05:18, 19 May 2007 (UTC)

What? Who? Where?
Some of your contributions were suspect - it might have just been errors. If you're not here just to vandalize stuff then you got nothing to worry about. --Adys 14:57, 19 May 2007 (UTC)

Well, since I'm not here to vandalize, I'm here to write fan fiction. I was wondering how can I add pictures to my fan fiction, such as WoW scenery or mob pictures or [ictures I drew or photo shopped together. Do I need permission, and how can I get it? If I want to put my own pictures on, I could scan them on my computer but I dont know how to transfer them to my fan fiction. I hope you can answer them, (Mr.X8 15:42, 19 May 2007 (UTC))

Oh, how do I make a new fan fiction page to start another story. My old one was made by someone else. Oh, the reason I have been under vandalism suspicion is probably because Ive always left my account opened and never logged out before. Sorry, Ill have to be more careful next time. :(

won't someone please answer back? Please, I need help (Mr.X8 18:47, 25 May 2007 (UTC))

I wouldn't really know about the guidelines and such, however i can't see any reason why you shouldn't be allowed to upload your pictures as long as proper source have been given, to upload pictures use Special:Upload, but remember to read the WoWWiki:Image_guidelines first, alternatively use the WoWWiki village pump link in the Welcome message if you want to ask more questions, as it's unlikely that people will be monitoring your talk page :) Fiskert/c  18:59, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

Well thank you for the info, but I dont understand what to put in those boxes on where its from and where its going. I really just was going to edit some real WoW pix and tweak them out. Could someone add the pictures if its not oo much to ask please. Im just a kid, so sry I know nothing about computers. :( —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Mr.X8 (talkcontr).

There are 3 boxes on the page, the first box is the source, in which you can browse to the picture you want to upload, the second is where the destination should be(I.e. X8-Fanfic-pic01.jpg) and the summary is a description of the image. Fiskert/c  19:12, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

I am never going to get the hang of all this stuff. Im just a kid for God's sake! Im horrible with computers because my computer teacher is the meanest person in Chicago. Serously, I just want to tweak up some pictures that arent mine and add them because most of my characters dont yet exist in WoW and I dont own any type of Warcraft. If anyone could help me tweak up some pix, just reply and Ill tell you what I need help with. HELP WOULD MUCH APPPRECIATED SINCE I DONT GET IT IN COMPUTER CLASS :)

I can tell some people dont like me here. I understand if Baggins doesnt because I think I annoyed him WAY too much. (Mr.X8 21:14, 25 May 2007 (UTC))

I tried to do it. Nothing happened. Well, thats not entirely true. It said this isnt recommended to upload. I thought about cancelling it. Since nothing happened I wont try again.

Is there anyone who could add some images, or is that too selfish to ask?

YES!!!(LOL JK) its fine but what You want mightbe hard to know and wait I just saw you complaining about a pic on your fanfic and dont wish to offend but PST(tell me on my usertalk)Scorpx2 02:30, 30 May 2007 (UTC)scorpx2

Mr.X8, I'm a relative Wiki neophyte myself, but what you're asking isn't all too difficult. In order to get the most out of a site like this (which seems to be a community that welcomes input of appropriate and relevant information) you might want to learn some basic ideas on what to do and how to edit a page. This way in the future you don't need people to do this for you. This page was a lot of help for me initially - as well as looking as other people's pages to see how they coded things.
Hey, if a twenty-five year old engineer (I r en-gineer, lawl) can manage to somehow throw together a couple of fanpages, I'm certain that you can do the same with some time and practice. You've already taken the first step in replying here and editting your userpage!
Concerning how to upload images, you'll want to visit Special:Upload. In the first box (Source filename) you'll want to click the "Browse" button and select the image that you want to upload. The second box, Destination filename is what you will be calling the image. Summary refers to a brief description of what you are uploading. You should use a description that indicates what you're uploading and probably something that should indicate that this is a fan-image and not necessarily something related to lore.
Once uploaded, you can easily add the image to the page you want it on. You'll be using the code [[Image:FILENAME.jpg]]. You know how you can get text on images when you hold your mouse over it? You can do that here as well by writing [[Image:FILENAME.jpg|YOUR TEXT HERE]] instead.
You also mentioned that you weren't quite sure how to create a new page. That's relatively easy - any time someone goes to a page that doesn't exist (for example User:Cynra/This page doesn't exist), you're asked if you'd like to create the page. So, if you wanted to find a place to put your fanfic, you just do the same thing. However, since this is fan-based information regarding the Warcraft universe and not lore, you'll probably want to have the article under your username (for example User:Mr.X8/This is the title of my new fanfic). This ensures that people are aware that this is probably something that you yourself created and that you would prefer if people don't edit it. Of course, this doesn't protect your page but I think people recognize what kind of faux pas exists in editing someone else's userpages without permission.
And apologies for the wall of text on your talk page - I'm a pretty wordy person and I felt that maybe writing out directions would help you more than just directing you to a page. -- Cynra (T·C) 12:19, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
