You develop ClearFont? I love that. I hate reading sans-serif fonts, especially the one that is default for the chatbox. I use a serif font for everything now. Thanks. Schmidt 13:31, 11 June 2006 (EDT)
Thanks for the support! :) Now get back to deleting stuff :P -- Kirkburn 18:35, 12 June 2006 (EDT)

Possible promotion

I've talked to Rustak about making you an admin (along with Mikk). I hope that's okay. He may be making me a bureaucrat at the same time, but we'll see. I'm trusting that you won't go wild with the Main Page, if you can change it... ;-) --Fandyllic 6:22 PM PDT 28 Aug 2006
I solemly swear to do my best So, what do you think about lime green and pink polka dots? I'm leaning towards that design now ... ;) -- Kirkburn 19:11, 28 August 2006 (EDT)
Don't overdo it, my friend (although that might work for April Fools). Congrats! Can't think of a more worthy Admin! (not since Fandyllic first got promoted, anyway ;-P) --Ragestorm 20:31, 28 August 2006 (EDT)
Congrats! Well deserved recognition for your efforts! --Dracomage 21:17, 29 August 2006 (EDT)

Seen Vandalism?

Vandal loose and no-one seems to be about? Me and Mikk are often on the wow interface IRC channel. Drop in and shout about the problem! :) #wowi-lounge -- Kirkburn
Hi ! I've seen how you work on protecting pages and I wanted to ask how come I'm able to do so ? I'm no admin, is it a right given to every human member ?--Kirochi 11:28, 31 August 2006 (EDT)
I'm assuming you mean that you're wondering why you're still able to edit them? They're only protected from being moved, not edited. -- Kirkburn (talk) 11:40, 31 August 2006 (EDT)
Nay, not at all. I wonder why I have the option "Protect the page" when I visit one.--Kirochi 13:16, 31 August 2006 (EDT)
Is this on all pages, or just the ones I've been doing stuff on? And what happens when you try it? -- Kirkburn (talk) 13:23, 31 August 2006 (EDT)
No, especially on new pages, and it tells me something like "Now this page is protected" and stuff ... And then the page goes back to normal, without the "Protect" option.--Kirochi 14:32, 31 August 2006 (EDT)
So far as I can tell, it has no effect. It's not showing on the protection log, so don't worry about it :P -- Kirkburn (talk) 14:43, 31 August 2006 (EDT)
Ok, thanks ^^--Kirochi 15:28, 31 August 2006 (EDT)

Alpha images

This is getting ridiculous. Are we going to have to protect all pages that might be compromised by Alpha images? Should we put a note warning people not to post alpha images? Ragestorm
Hehe :P Just keep marking them for delete and removing them from the pages, but don't worry about it too much. As long as we are doing what we can to stem the flow, the powers that be most likely won't mind. By the time they mention what's to be deleted, it'll probably have already gone ;) I have an idea that might help though ... -- Kirkburn (talk) 20:16, 2 September 2006 (EDT)
There we go, I've added a note to the BC template :) See Velen, for example! -- Kirkburn (talk) 20:20, 2 September 2006 (EDT)

DMCA page

I think the DMCA page should be protected from both moves and edits. That seems like a static page that nobody should be touching (though everyone should be reading). Someone edited it earlier (though just a spelling correction), and brought it to my attention that a page like that shouldn't be able to be tampered with. Somebody might get bad ideas. <_< >_> Pzychotix 03:48, 5 September 2006 (EDT)
Thanks for pointing it out. I'll just watchlist it.   --Mikk (T) 11:30, 5 September 2006 (EDT)
Good idea, that. I've been absent for a whole day because I haven't been able to access the wiki as it pretended as if I didn't exist! Once I thought to try changing my IP address ... it worked! *sigh* -- Kirkburn (talk) 20:23, 5 September 2006 (EDT)

Could we have this page protected? I found myself making edits to it TWICE! <grumbles @ self-stupidity> --Dracomage 11:12, 7 September 2006 (EDT)
Hehe, good point. It's too easily vandalised as well, so it's now protected completely :) -- Kirkburn (talk) 11:14, 7 September 2006 (EDT)

I got World of Warcraft

Hi! Just wanted to let you know that I got Wow last Monday. Cheers. --Theron the Just 06:05, 11 September 2006 (EDT)
Heh, awesome! Hope you enjoy it, I know I do ... -- Kirkburn (talk) 07:21, 11 September 2006 (EDT)

Icon Trash

Sounds good, I went ahead and marked all of the icons in the first "Incorrect" category on my ToDo page as I know for certain they're to be trashed. I'll be sure to tag future ones of that nature with a speedydelete. Going to wait until the entire organization is done before trashing the images that are obsolete due to filetypes, just in case I need to revert for some reason. Thanks for the help! Cheers, --Tusva 15:34, 19 September 2006 (EDT)
I love to delete, I do :) -- Kirkburn (talk) 18:13, 20 September 2006 (EDT)

Why is that man deleting lots of images?

Well, I'll tell you ... it's to try and prevent the wiki being used to host images for elsewhere. It's bandwidth stealing, and it just slows the site down. Also, it's nice to run a clean ship, eh? :) -- Kirkburn (talk) 17:37, 23 September 2006 (EDT)
Well, that's all but done now. Wasn't that fun? RC list spamming is a healthy and enjoyable activity, as certain contributers know well ... -- Kirkburn (talk) 04:48, 27 September 2006 (EDT)
I have no idea what you're talking about.   --Mikk (T) 11:16, 27 September 2006 (EDT)
Good ;) -- Kirkburn (talk) 11:26, 27 September 2006 (EDT)

Thanks for fixing my articles on Lady Sevine, Archmage Allistarj, Grol and Fallen Hero of the Horde. Much appreciated. --FieryAxel 13:57, 24 September 2006 (EDT)
I was surprised they didn't already exist! :) -- Kirkburn (talk) 04:42, 27 September 2006 (EDT)

Screwed up something at Image:Ability_Warrior_Riposte.png and now unable to access to the page ("Forbidden page").. No idea what's happening, would you mind taking a look ? --Adys 21:13, 27 September 2006 (EDT)
How about now? Works for me :) -- Kirkburn (talk) 21:15, 27 September 2006 (EDT)
Aye back to normal, thanks =) Back to the deletion hehe --Adys 21:16, 27 September 2006 (EDT)
Keep going... and going, and going, and going... hehe. Having fun ? ;P --Adys 22:38, 30 September 2006 (EDT)
The time of my life :P You may have noticed I've run out of 'quotes' to say now =) -- Kirkburn (talk) 22:39, 30 September 2006 (EDT)

Hey Kirk! I noticed you got rid of the Ashenvale category from the article 'Felguard'. The reason behind me putting it there isn't that there are creatures of the type 'felguard' in Ashenvale (as there indeed is in many places), but the fact that there is a mob litterally called "Felguard" there. That's also why I put "Wisp" into City:Darnassus, and "Moonkin" into Zone:Darkshore. -- Varghedin 11:48, 28 September 2006 (CET)
Okay, that makes sense, Varg :) -- Kirkburn (talk) 10:52, 28 September 2006 (EDT)
Varg: Try putting a comment after your categorization in quirky situations like these. It helps future editors :-) <!-- This looks strange, but it's because ..... -->   --Mikk (T) 09:57, 28 September 2006 (EDT)
Mmh, maybe a new page? Felguard and Felguard (NPC) in this case? --Adys 10:33, 28 September 2006 (EDT)
Erhm, yeah, what Adys said :-)   --Mikk (T) 10:33, 28 September 2006 (EDT)
Ah, I will do that, Mikk. As for making them separate pages, that could be something to do, although (NPC) might be a bit misleading since they aren't interactive. Maybe 'Felguard (Mob)'? For now, I will comment on the ones I remember represent both a creature subtype and a specific mob (Wisp, Felguard, Moonkin, Harvest Watcher). --Varghedin 17:36, 28 September 2006 (CET)

Explain exactly how Category:MMOG violates DNP

Could you explain how Category:MMOG violates WW:DNP? Also, did you check the pages you deleted to see what links to them? You're supposed to do that, you know... --Fandyllic (talk) 6:50 PM PDT 1 Oct 2006
The category was for articles about other MMOGs, which doesn't come under the remit of the site (as the same went for the consoles articles a while back). The pages were also incredibly out-of-date, barely referenced and encouraged non-NPOV writing. I did check linking pages - I thought I'd caught them all, save for links in player and guild pages to the EQ article which, although I should have unlinked them, I didn't have the time to. -- Kirkburn (talk) 21:56, 1 October 2006 (EDT)
I recall a couple of months ago, the other MMORPG articles were starting to be removed, but for some reason it fell by the wayside, so I was partly finishing that off. We don't cover other games, and inviting others to write comparison articles between, say, EQ and WoW just encourages trouble :/ Wikipedia is best for non-Blizzard articles, tbh -- Kirkburn (talk) 23:36, 1 October 2006 (EDT)
