Race previewEdit

After being exiled by the Night Elves for wielding the arcane, the Highborne, led by Dath'Remar Sunstrider, set sail for the Eastern Kingdoms. Due to losing their connection with the Well of Eternity, they became High Elves. Traveling across Eastern Kingdoms to find the right spot to build a new magical city, they eventually founded the kingdom of Quel'Thalas with the Sunwell as their new font of magic.

When Arthas Menethil led the Scourge to attack Quel'Thalas, many of the High Elves were slaughtered and raised as new undead soldiers. Wile those who became Blood Elves and sided with the Horde, a large group survivors were rescued by a powerful Paladin named Regent Lord Tharama Lightbringer of Quel'Dor. There, they were brought to the hidden land of Northeron which was populated by many High Elves that lived in this massive land they called home.

As the war between the Alliance and Horde continues to tip Azeroth's balance, Vereesa Windrunner is tasked to find the lost High Elves and bring them back into the Alliance.

Opening cutsceneEdit

The High Elves closely resemble blood elves appearance-wise, although high elves typically have light colored eyes that vary from light grey to blue to green, and occasionally brown, as opposed to the neon-iridescent green eyes of blood elves.

In order to unlock the ability to play as high elves, Alliance players will need to have completed the achievement, be exalted with the Silver Covenant, and reach to level 110. These requirements are account wide in that players do not have to earn all requirements on the same character or even an Alliance character to unlock.
