Eastern Darrowmere Forest, formerly known as the Eastern Plaguelands, was a land restored by the Cenarion Circle, who managed to eliminate the plague and make the land greenish again. However, only a few areas remain as part of the Scourge and the Argent Crusade and the Circle continue their efforts to put an end to this once and for all. With the land affiliated with Argent Dawn, Silver Hand, and Cenarion Circle, the inhabitants must defend themselves from an incoming invasion of the Zandalari Empire and the Mongrel Horde.
History
Edit
Wrath of the Lich King
Edit

Like the Eastern Plaguelands, Eastern Darrowmere Forest has a small area for death knights from the previous expansion, Wrath of the Lich King. It includes their home base of Acherus: The Ebon Hold, a massive Scourge necropolis floating above the hills behind Light's Hope Chapel. It is here that the death knight trainers, as well as their leader Highlord Darion Mograine, can be found.
Invaders of Zandalar
Edit
In the World of Warcraft: Invaders of Zandalar, the land has been fully healed by the Cenarion Circle and its ruled by the Argent Dawn, who had strengthened its presence in the land. With the help of the Cenarion Circle, Silver Hand, Alliance, and Horde, the Argent Dawn managed to rebuild Blackwood, Browman Mill, Corin's Crossing, and Darrowshire. Now that every amount of corruption in the land itself has diminished and the plague been cleansed from the Argent Crusade, Eastern Darrowmere Forest is invaded by the Zandalari Empire and the Mongrel Horde that sought control over the land and making it their own territory.
The Eastern Darrowmere Forest became nothing but a war zone between the Argent Dawn and the Zandalari Empire. The Cenarion Circle provide their assistance with the Silver Hand in driving the invaders away, but since more kept coming, it would be proven to be difficult. The Centaurs of the Krenka clan, who affiliated with the Mongrel Horde, claimed the entire Plaguewood as their territory with Risen undead centaurs to be used in their army to attack the inhabitants. The Scarlet Onslaught claimed the city of Stratholme as their primary base of operations. The capital city of Tyr's Hand remains under the claim of the Argent Dawn, Silver Hand, and members of the Cenarion Circle. However, Scarlet Highlord Daion sends her forces to attack
Even after the Zandalari and the Mongrel Horde had been driven out from the land, a small remnant of the Cult of the Damned remains active in separate parts.
Geography
Edit
The Eastern Darrowmere Forest contains a normal instanced dungeon (Stratholme), and formerly contained the raid dungeon Naxxramas. tyr's Hand serves as the Argent Dawn's capital while Light's Hope Chapel serves as the main base for the Silver Hand. There are no battlegrounds in these zones, though they are world PvP areas.
