Trueshot Aura is a Hunter skill learned by investing 31 points into the Marksmanship tree. It is an aura that increases the ranged and melee attack power of all party members within a 100 yard radius of the Hunter. Trueshot Aura costs no mana to cast and has infinite duration, comparable to paladin auras.

Notes

The threat generated by the pet ability Growl is based partially on the attack power of the pet. As the pet's attack power is influenced by the hunter's attack power, having Trueshot Aura active will indirectly increase the effect of your pet's Growl. Trueshot Aura will not directly affect growl; as of Patch 2.4.3, pets no longer generate additional threat from Growl based on attack power buffs cast on them.

Requires you to stay within 100 yards of your party if they want the benefit from the effect. Hunters tend to stay as far away from battle as possible. However, their maximum range is 41 yards, so if you are attacking the same target and are on the same side of the target as the hunter, you will receive this buff.

With the changes in Patch 3.3.3 to Spell deathknight icetouch [Abomination's Might] and Spell nature unleashedrage [Unleashed Rage] now essentially accomplish the same effect in having a constant aura. However, each of those have multiple ranks compared to the one of Trueshot Aura.
