Infobox quest/doc

This infobox was converted to the portable type, so keep an eye out for problems.

Required fields

• name = The name of the quest. Defaults to "Untitled".
• faction = "Alliance", "Horde", or "Neutral". Denotes which faction is eligible for the quest, or both. Defaults to "Neutral".
  • Will add category based on faction.
• start = The NPC, item, or object responsible for initiating the quest. Braces required. Defaults to "Unknown".
  • If the value "Auto accept" or "Auto Accept" is given, start will be set to Auto Accept.
• end = The NPC, item, or object responsible for ending the quest. Braces required. Defaults to the value of start. If there is an end NPC/object, YOU MUST FILL IN END. The portable conversion broke the auto fill-in using the start, when end is left blank.
• level = The difficulty level of the quest, exposed by the quest API or an quest viewer add-on. Defaults to "1", but level is technically required for money calculation for players at level cap. If colored level numbers appear, this number will be white.
  • Adds page to Category:Quests at level.
  • If level is missing, page will be added to category Quests missing level.
• levelreq = The minimum level required to accept the quest. Datamined from Thottbot or other database. Defaults to "1".
• rewards = A list of linked items rewarded by the quest. Can use {{item|<item name>}} or {{loot|<quality>|<item name>}}.

Recommended, but optional

• category = The category under which the quest appears in the quest log (usually a class, profession, or a zone). No default value, braces not required. NOTE: If this is a world quest, don't include the "World Quest" part, if you use |world=Yes (i.e. |category=Mining world quest or |category=Mining|world=Yes, but not both).
  • Adds page to Category:category quests. "Death Knight" will appear in Category:Death knight quests.
• experience = The amount of experience gained from completing the quest.
• previous = The quest required to be completed before starting the current quest. Written using {{quest|<quest name>}} or similar.
• next = The quest that follows the current quest in a series. Written using {{quest|<quest name>}} or similar.

Optional

• difficulty =  ?; suppresses "Requires Level..."
• type = "Daily", "Group", "Dungeon", "Raid", "PvP". Defaults to hidden. Can leave out for normal solo quests. NOTE: If this is a world quest, don't include the "World Quest" part, if you use |world=Yes (i.e. |type=Mining world or |type=Mining|world=Yes, but not both).
  • Adds page to Category:type quests.
• race = The race(s) required to get or do quest. No default value, braces not added.
• class = The class(es) required to get or do quest. No default value, braces not added.
• reputation = The amount of reputation affected by the quest, written in the style +100 Wildhammer or -100 Undercity. Braces necessary.
• experience = The amount of experience gained from completing the quest.
  • nocap= Suppress money reward in lieu of xp at level cap.
• money = The amount of money awarded by completing the quest. Use {{cost}}, e.g. 25 or 4 7 25. Usual format is {{cost|<gold>|<silver>|<copper>}}; see Template:Cost.
• maxmoney = The amount of money awarded by completing the quest at level cap (use {{cost}})). Suppressed by nocap=.
• repeatable = Accepts "Yes". Indicates if the quest is repeatable. Defaults to hidden.
• shareable = Accepts "Yes" or "No". Indicates if the quest is shareable. Defaults to hidden.
• world = Accepts "Yes" or "No". Indicates if the quest is a world quest. If "yes", adds page to Category:World quests. Defaults to hidden.
• disambigsuffix = Smaller text line after quest name (i.e. "(class quests)") for questboxes on disambig pages.
• id = The internal id of the quest for the various external databases (use only for Semantic MediaWiki setting).
• zone = The zone of the quest, if not specified in category=.
  • Only adds page to Category:zone quests.
• tcg = Optional TCG image (File: not needed; i.e. Your_Fortune_awaits_You.jpg).
  • tcglink = Optional Link for TCG image (i.e. http://wow.tcgbrowser.com/#!/cardid=3697 or http://www.wowtcgvault.com/ViewCard.aspx?CardName=Your%20Fortune%20Awaits%20You&Edition=HOA). Only applies if tcg= used.
  • tcgwidth = Optional Width for TCG image (default: 150px). Only applies if tcg= used.

• doc = if specified with a value (like |doc=1), prevents the Questbox template from adding the page to categories.
  • If the infobox appears in the User: namespace, categories will also be suppressed.
