Overview

Ability Hunter BeastTaming

Tame a beast to be your companion. Your armor is reduced by 100% while you focus on taming the beast for 20 seconds. If you are interrupted during your taming focus for any reason, the taming process will fail. Once tamed, the beast will be very unhappy and disloyal. Feed your pet immediately after taming to increase its happiness and loyalty.

Functionality

Uses

  • This ability allows the Hunter to train the beasts of Azeroth and make them his life-long companions. While the ability is useless except when applied to pets, one can tame some pretty exotic and nifty pets.

Limitations

  • Interruptions will fail the attempt. This includes stunning, knock down, screech effect, but does not include the daze effect.
  • You can only tame beast your level and lower.
  • List of beasts that cannot be tamed.

Taming Tips

Taming a beast can be made easier with some preparation. Some of the beasts you encounter have special attacks which will cause your attempt to tame them to fail.

  1. Put down a Freezing Trap between you and your target. This will add up to 20 seconds of uninterrupted time for taming.
  2. Get your targets attention with a concussive shot from the maximum range of the Tame Beast ability.
  3. Immediately Activate Tame Beast
  4. Bring a mage. Let him Sheep the mob and you can then tame it.
