Inexpensive Money Maker and Leveller
From 315 (orange) to 340 (grey) you can Make Netherweave Bags. Then turn around and sell them on the Auction House (set for 8 hours because they will sell) for less than the lowest buyout cost. This lets you generate skill, generate replacement money to generate more skill, and generate some profit to buy additional recipes or materials. Even after 340 it is worth doing this to regenerate your gold when it is getting low. I'm generating 30%+ profit on each cycle, and can easily go from 50 gold to over 150 gold in one day using this method. Which I can then reinvest in leveling my tailoring. 10:27 EST. 16 September 2007
Arcanoweave Uses Less Mats
Arcanoweave is easier on arcane dust as it take 2 dust per bolt of Imbued Netherweave, and with 6 bolt needed for imbued netherweave robe the dust total is 12. With Arcanoweave Bracers you use 12 dust which suprise is the same as making one Imbued Netherweave Robe or tunic, also the amount of Netherweave needed is dramatically decreased from 3 bolts per Imbued Netherweave and 6 needed for one robe coming to 18 bolts where the Arcanoweave only needs 6 bolts of netherweave. Of course the problem is that Netherweave Bracers are only yellow ten levels after you learn it and the other recipes require more and more materials, but the arcanoweave seems to actually use less netherweave which can be tedious to gather and uses no Netherweb Spider Silk.
Black Mageweave Headband is available before 245
I think my tailor trained the Black Mageweave Headband pattern before she started making the Black Mageweave Shoulders. The headband turned yellow at skill 245, just like the shoulders did. A post on the WoW forums ignored the mageweave shoulders altogether and suggested leveling from 230-250 on the headband alone (although I think the gloves->234 is cheaper, I didn't get the 235 point). Farming felcloth and using it to make mooncloth is a viable option since patch 2.4.3 (?). global cooldown was removed.
Correction on 325 to 340
I had to make 25 [Bolt of Imbued Netherweave] to get the 15 levels today, 10/13/2008
