"It's location in a Quel'Thalas zone is speculative."

I thought it was pretty clear the starting zone was Eversong Forest and that Sunstrider Isle was a location in it, the same way, well most of the starting zones have the starting area, the middle area, and the capital in a single zone. --Xmuskrat 15:19, 22 Dec 2005 (EST)

I think things are kind of messed up. I suspect Sunstrider Isle is a zone and Eversong Forest is a sub-zone in it. If you look at all the other starting areas, they are generally sub-zones in larger main zones (Valley of Trials in Durotar, Coldridge Valley in Dun Morogh, etc.).

Let me get some evidence together for you, before you change things, okay? Only "Sunstrider Isle" is called the starting area, and I'm pretty sure it's a subzone in Eversong Forest. I beleive I can find references both to the starting areas and silvermoon to be in Eversong Forest. I also agree with you that Sunstrider Isle and Silvermoon city are in the same zone. Also, one has to admit they already know that Silvermoon city is a rebuilt Quel'Thalas. Still, I'll try to get more to prove it. --Xmuskrat 08:53, 23 Dec 2005 (EST)
Here's my assumption: If you look at the map of Quel'Thalas, there is a Large mass of land just off the tip of the peninsula, off the coast of Silvermoon. I think that large island (being the only isle I see anywhere near Quel'thalas) is Sunstrider Isle. So Eversong Forest is on that island, and as you quest through the zone, you can sail across the channel to Silvermoon. That seems totally logical to me. Examine the map and tell me I'm wrong. --Anticrash 09:02, 23 Dec 2005 (EST)
I'm pretty sure the island to the north is the Sunwell. I'm also sure that Sunstrider Island is fairly small and not drawn on the Warcraft 3 map. Later: Zoom in on that map, Anti, and you can actually see "Sunwell" on it. --Xmuskrat 09:04, 23 Dec 2005 (EST)
I know that.. but the island itself isn't called "Sunwell"... The island is HUGE and the Sunwell is tiny. I suspect that the Sunwell is located on Sunstrider Isle. However, since they say the Sunwell plateau won't be in the expansion, then that means that entire island won't be included in the BC, so that semi-debunks my theory anyways. --Anticrash 09:34, 23 Dec 2005 (EST)
Well, my only issue with that is we know that Silvermoon is built over the original silvermoon, and in Warcraft 3 we know it's in the mainland. We also know that the newbie zone contains both the starting area and the capital city. As well as we know that the sunwell is on a plateau. Hmm... There's some logic there, somewhere. BTW -- Interesting Map --Xmuskrat 20:55, 2 Jan 2006 (EST)
Okay, I'll buy that. --Xmuskrat 17:22, 2 Jan 2006 (EST)

My proof:

At this point, Quel’Thalas is set to be composed of roughly three to five zones, including Eversong Forest, the starting zone (and also the location of the blood elf capital, Silvermoon City); the Ghostlands, which border the Eastern Plaguelands to the south; and the Sunwell Plateau, which won’t be part of the initial expansion but will be part of a live update down the line.

It's important to note the semicolon here. Because in a list such as that, it states Eversong Forest is the starting zone, as well as the location of the blood elf capital. Since we know that the Blood Elves start on an island, it's easy to assume that the island (like the Echo Islands) are a subarea of the Eversong Forest zone. --Xmuskrat 09:03, 23 Dec 2005 (EST)

The name of the starting zone is Eversong Forest, just as the human starting zone is Elwynn Forest. The small area within the zone that you spawn when you create a toon is called Sunstrider Isle, just as the human area is called Northshire Abbey. Silvermoon City is contained in Eversoong Forest, just as Stormwind City is contained within Elwynn Forest. The next zone, Ghostlands, is the 10-20 zone for Blood Elves. It's set up just like every other starting zone in the game. --Bwmathis 14:56, 13 August 2006 (EDT)
