While I liked everything about the old dailies table better--as opposed to this new, smaller one--I understand that that is a matter of personal preference. But where the old dailies table was unarguably better was in showing not only Quel'danas dailies with this faction, but Outland dailies as well. Where is "Sunfury Attack Plans" on this new table? Where is "The Multiphase Survey," "Blood for Blood," "Blast the Gateway," and so forth? This is an article on the SSO faction, not the Isle of Quel'danas, so, if it has a dailies table at all, it should list *all* of the dailies. The old table can be seen at [[http://www.wowwiki.com/index.php?title=Shattered_Sun_Offensive&oldid=1304884#Sun.27s_Reach_Daily_Quests]]. I'm afraid I'm new to wikis, so I don't know how tables work yet...

Reputation

Does anyone know yet how reputation will be determined? Will it start out fresh for everyone or will it take the rep of the faction you belong to? If this information is not available it would be prudent to add it as soon as it is made so.--Oni Ookami AlfadorTalk|@ 22:45, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

There's been no word from the Blizz posters. As soon as it's posted it'll be getting added both here and probably on the Patch 2.4.0 page. I'd assume it's going to start out fresh considering Blizz's history with factions like Cenarion Circle vs Cenarion Expedition... --k_d3 23:05, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
Of course you start out fresh. It's about game mechanics. The Shattered Sun is the faction belonging to one of the hardest five mans and hardest raid dungeon in the game once 2.4 is released, no way Blizzard is giving away exalted status really easily by converting Aldor or Scryers reputation into Shattered Sun rep. That would mean that you can buy some awesome gear while you haven't done shit on Sunwell Isle. You'll need to grind up there from neutral or unfriendly, by questing and doing the instances.IconSmall BloodElf MaleAMBER(Rฮ˜CK) 07:48, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

Player title achieved with faction

Looking into the CharTitles Db file in the 2.4 PTR MPQ, it seems that as well as Hand of A'dal, a new player title being introduced this patch will be Of The Shattered Sun. I don't know the rules about posting things taken via a MPQ delving program, so I'll refrain from posting it on the article for now Oahkoah 15:15, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

Its like the title "Champion of the Naaru", if you complete the attunement for Black Temple and Battle of the Mount Hyjal.--IconSmall FireFireMasterIconSmall Pandaren(IconSmall BloodElf MaleT-CIconSmall PitLord) 16:53, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
No, that is for the Hand of A'dal. I said there was a SECOND title in the data files called <player> Of the Shattered Sun Oahkoah 16:58, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
Humm... So I dont know.--User:FireMaster/Sig1 17:03, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

Probably a title you get at exalted. Leviathon 19:51, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

It appears to be obtainable upon the complete reclaiming of Sun's Reach, by donating 1000g to Anchorite Kairthos via the quest A Magnanimous Benefactor. The PTR hasn't progressed this far yet, of course. Suzaku 04:06, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

High Elves

I don't quite get why there are no High Elves trying help reclaim their Well. I'm starting to think the theory that Metzen truly is trying to destroy the High Elves  IconSmall HighElf Male Mr.X8 Talk Contribs 17:33, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

Note that it says the faction consists MOSTLY of blood leves and draenei , that means there must be a few memebers of another race/races , maybe there wil be some high elves after all(Marakanis 18:48, 10 February 2008 (UTC))

True but I can see a good thing and a bad thing. One the Scryers allow even Night Elves to be part of their organization. And the bad thing is, from a lore point of view, could the High Elves even get along w/ the Blood Elves, and would they even allow their non-corrupted ancestors?  IconSmall HighElf Male Mr.X8 Talk Contribs 19:06, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

The Azeroth blood elves are almost High Elves with green eyes in this patch, they changed ALOT im sure some high elves will be ther somehow, maybe the Blood Elves returns to the high elf state.--Gurluas 19:13, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

I just saw there's a high elf Archmage appearing!!! I'm beggining to love this faction :) (Marakanis 19:58, 11 February 2008 (UTC))

It seems story wise the blood elves are changing quite a bit. Even a lot of quests (such as the paladin level 12 redemption spell quest) have been changed. Leviathon 20:02, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
Marakanis where is this high elf archmage?, if you mean Ne'thul then no he is a blood elf, so is Aryanna.--Gurluas 05:38, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

Oops my bad , he had a high elf male icon before so I assumed... also he's title is Archmage , I always thought archamage is the blood elf 'name' for Magistrix.Guess BLizz is tired of that title :) (Marakanis 11:59, 16 February 2008 (UTC))

Magistrix is the female title for Magister that is the title for Blood Elf Mages because there are no male blood elves with the title "Magistrix" and there are no female blood elves with the title "Magister". How'd you think it's the equivalent to archmage? --N'Nanz 18:58, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

I'm sure there are a few high elves there. Probably the High Elf Refugees from Shattrath. When you get down to it a high elf living in Shattrath is little different from his blood elf neighbor. Zarnks 01:44, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

I once read on the magister's page some time ago that Magistrix is similar to Archmage , also if u look better u can find in wow female blood elves with the name Magister in Netherstorm aiding the SUnfury and those magisters(who I saw to be mostly female) in Shadowmoon aiding the Scryers in the attack against Illidan(Marakanis 18:34, 19 February 2008 (UTC))

Sorry, Marakanis but I can't find the NPC you spoke of... --N'Nanz 21:29, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
Look in the inn at area51 for magisters.--Gurluas 19:18, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

Ok then let me help :Sunfury Magisters(some are female mind you) in one or more of the manaforges in Netherstorm and then there are some Seasoned Magisters that are found near the Black Citadel(all seem to be female as far as I saw) .(Marakanis 20:11, 22 February 2008 (UTC))

Oh BTW I saw they modified the Magister's page , although I guess it's been done some time ago :D (Marakanis 20:14, 22 February 2008 (UTC))

ok but these are some sort of city guard, I mean somethink like Battleground emissaries and city guard, they share the same name but should be of diferent gender. Blizz wouldn't create other NPCs only to specify the gender. However there are no male "archmage" (I mean Magistrix) from Quel'thalas? If so, doesn't it sound strange? --N'Nanz 10:20, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

Um... Aren't we supposed to be talking about high elves in the Shattered Sun Offensive? I think we got off track with the magister/magistix thing. If you guys are serious about that, you should take it up in the talk page for Mage.--Blayaden 15:25, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

Just to clarify guards and emessaries aren't clasified to be of a certain gender like in this case .Also I noticed that the magister page has been changed now . Returning to topic is there any high elf whatsoever that at least is helping the Offensive? Shatrath would be a good place to search in the PTR but I kind of doubt you'll find any high elf belonging to the faction Italic text officialy (there must be at least one that helps the offensive in the lore I guess)... A thing to note about the faction is that it's clerics are blood elves too not only draenei :) , which I think it's either a sign of Liadrin's knights helping or the some of the scryers are starting to pick up the paladin class .I think it's the later since the clerics wear an armor set that isn't very Blood Knight-like (t5 for paladins), but then again the blood knights could very well start wearing armor that isn't only black in red or it's just a game mechanic (just a thought) (Marakanis 18:48, 25 February 2008 (UTC))

(there must be at least one that helps the offensive in the lore I guess). Lore? The only source of lore we've got that covers the Offensive so far is the collection of ingame NPCs. If there are no high elven NPCs in the game, then as far as we know, there are no high elves in this faction at all.IconSmall BloodElf MaleAMBER(Rฮ˜CK) 16:01, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

Well the game is the only source of lore on this faction indeed but game mechanics have always made it hard to follow the lore exactly , also you never know if in the next book there is going to be an article about this faction for some reason and then we'll know .Until then I'm just guessing cause it makes sense , who knows maybe some of the blood elf troops of the offensive is a high elf but is protrayed as a blood elf for game mechanics (Marakanis 17:42, 27 February 2008 (UTC))

Perhaps. Blizzard is notorious for retconning the lore they introduced only a few years earlier, but we just cannot assume that they will do so in this case as well. They've left massive loads of info untouched as well. So until further notice: no high elves in the Offensive. Furthermore, I don't see how game mechanics are making it any more difficult for high elves to appear on the Isle of Quel'Danas. High elf models are blood elf models with a particular NPC skin, after all. Not hard to pull off. IconSmall BloodElf MaleAMBER(Rฮ˜CK) 07:37, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

Indeed it isn't hard to pull it off but I still wouldn't be surpried ...blizzard has proven to be lazy at times as anybody can pobably notice.I bet some from blizz say : 'well it's obvious some are high elves , no need to do a little bit more work to show them that ...right?' .Also there may be too few high elves in the offensive to make some NPC's with high elf models . Meh anyway that's just my opinion (Marakanis 21:18, 28 February 2008 (UTC)) ยจ

Astromancer Darnarian looks like he has blue eyes- could he be a high elf? Look at his 3D model on Wowhead.--Blayaden 19:36, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
Confirmed, he is a high elf.--Gurluas 15:49, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
Since we (sadly) can only confirm one at this moment, should we change the "races of the offensive" to "one high elf" like with Archmage Leryda and the Violet Eye?--Blayaden 18:59, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

K'iru's Song of Victory

I wonder if this will work in the instances too? For reference; http://www.wowwiki.com/K%27iru%27s_Song_of_Victory --Throrion 16:50, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

Duration

How long does it take for a server to progress through stages? It'll be different for different server populations - but will it be hours, a day, several days, a week...? How long did it take on PTR? --Firien 15:16, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

Phase 1 was completed in less than 36 hours. Everything else was completed with GM intervention (as in, we got to ~30-50% and a dev completed it for us)... CMs on the forums have suggested that it'll take a month to unlock Smith Hauthaa's badge loot, which is phase 3B. --k_d3 17:50, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

Rep from Magisters Terrace (and Sunwell Plateau?)

Running Magisters Terrace in regular and heroic gives reputation for this faction but I don't see anything on the page about it yet.

I know regular MgT gives rep at least into the beginning of Honored (I just hit Honored today, and after I did I partially tanked a run of regular MgT to get a friend attuned and was still getting reputation while I was there). I'm guessing that like the other regular/heroic instances it'll last until 5999/6000 Honored on regular (if I remember right), and that Heroic will give rep all the way to 999/1000 Exalted. But I can't confirm that. Also my server is still on Phase 1, so I'm not sure whether the phases affect how rep is aquired in the instance.

Anyway does someone (hopefully with deeper experience of the rep) want to type something up along these lines? And does rep accumulate in Sunwell Plateau? I don't know as I haven't been able to get inside there yet (small pop server '><).--Scrotch 23:11, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

Rep can be gained from regular runs all the way through honored, as well as in revered. Currently ~6k into revered, partly from regular runs after obtaining revered. I can't say whether it stops halfway through or somesuch, but I imagine they will continue to give rep up to at least 20999/21000 revered. If I get to exalted before something is posted here I'll write something up, but I don't really like incomplete info and guesses in articles. Also, no experience in Sunwell Plateau yet. LikesDags 17:19, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
Doing some more research (mostly reading comments on wowhead) it looks like both regular and heroic give rep all the way to exalted. I'm also currently at revered and still getting rep in reg.--Scrotch 01:29, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

Dailies

So, I did a massive reformat of the dailies section - my goal was to make it more easy to scan. But concern though is that the table is too massive. It could be broken into two tables (split the left and right sides)... And I formatted the template to make that no so painful. - Duntherk

Only problem is a few templates depended on the Phase # headers being there... should be easy enough to fix. Otherwise, good job. Keep up the good work. --k_d3 01:53, 2 April 2008 (UTC)

Removed from World of Warcraft?

Just a quick pointer to some thoughts I have posted on Template talk:WorldEvent/Quel'Danas regarding the use of Category:Removed from World of Warcraft for the event quests. Discussion is probably more appropriate over there, since it's specific to that template. --User:Murph/Sig 23:57, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

A special Mount buyer

Since I was closing in on 60, I asked my guildies what should I do with my lvl 40 mount. Someone said on Quel'danas there's a vendor who will buy your 40 mount. If he even exists, does anyone know the name of the vendor who will buy it?  IconSmall HighElf Male Mr.X8 Talk Contribs 15:46, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
