Kor'kron Shadowmages[]
The Kor'kron Shadowmages who were killing Warlocks in Ogrimmar used Shadowflame magic, however, this presents a problem, Kosak states Shadowflame is likely Fel (demonic) magic infused with shadow, so if it's true that Shadowflame uses Fel magic then that means the Kor'kron Shadowmages employed demonic magic. Shadowflame used for Necromancy[]
The Shadowflame breath used by Nefarian naturally reanimated bones into undead minions. It doesn't appear that Nefarian used a spell to reanimate the bones, implying Shadowflame has the innate ability to raise the dead. There are generic mobs who are called Necromancers who use Shadowflame magic, so one can presume they use it to reanimate the dead like how Nefarian used Shadowflame to reanimate the dead. Warlocks also use this type of magic, so presumably they also use this to raise the dead.VisionOfPerfection (talk) 04:42, 26 August 2014 (UTC)VisionOfPerfection
- It's noted in the game guide that Nef experimented in undeath and magical augmentation. It's possible he made special skeletons that draw power from his shadowflame breath, and it's not a natural reaction. --Aquamonkeyeg (talk) 05:07, 26 August 2014 (UTC)
- That is highly unlikely that Nefarian altered those skeletons to have a special reaction to his Shadowflame breath given that Shadow magic and Fel has been shown to innately reanimate the dead. Still.....it's possible Nefarian's experiments caused them to react a certain way /shrug
