Rewrite (3/20/09)
I've completely rewritten the pages relevant to the passenger-carrying mammoth mounts and the the Engineering motorcycle mounts to reflect the changes that have been made since the last few patches, as well as debunk some falsities concerning the nature of the mounts and their abilities. These changes have been applied to the following pages:
- [Reins of the Traveler's Tundra Mammoth] for the Horde faction.
- [Reins of the Traveler's Tundra Mammoth] for the Alliance faction.
- [Reins of the Grand Ice Mammoth] for the Horde faction.
- [Reins of the Grand Ice Mammoth] for the Alliance faction.
- [Reins of the Grand Black War Mammoth] for the Horde faction.
- [Reins of the Grand Black War Mammoth] for the Alliance faction.
- [Mechano-hog] for the Horde faction.
- [Mekgineer's Chopper] for the Alliance faction.

Mammoth doesnt prevent or resist dmg
I just recieved one of these and as such wanted to test the dmg theory. Although there is nothing in patch notes 3.0.8 that refer to anything about this mount being changed, I jumped off a variety of cliffs and ended up killing or very close killing myself every single time. This mount doesnt resist any damage nor provide the player a means to as well. I contacted blizzard about this and this was the reply.

So, if you were hoping that this would be a great cliff jumping mammoth, it was obviously a screw up on thier part that got ninja fixed some time recently.
