This ability actually has a 30 second cooldown on live as opposed to 1 minute as documented in the patch notes. General Comments

Uh, it is just me or does this patch seem undeserving of a 2.x designation? I mean, the new arena season was a bigger deal. No VOIP, no new content, just a bunch of bug fixes and other adjustments and a nice but sorta meh new video capture feature. Only on the Mac. Which I have, and I still am not really impressed.

Although I have to say I am glad to see that lightwell is now maybe worth taking. Maybe. One priest ability fix down, about a million to go...

It seems that Blizzard intended (and maybe still intends?) to release both the voice stuff and Zul'aman in this patch; there is certainly a new toolbar which looks like it's supposed to be for the chat, and the pre-made level 70 characters are created right in front of Zul'aman - which is, however, still closed (as of yesterday EU PvE PTR).

So either we've a while to wait yet until the patch really comes because they still need to test Zul'Aman in-house before letting the PTR players loose on it, or we'll get a smaller patch first.

Does anyone know if there is a projected release date for this patch yet? I haven't seen one... --Sallick 09:00, 5 August 2007 (UTC)

That makes sense. I'd expected to see ZA in 2.2, having the PTR characters start out near there would make it seem that it's coming this patch, even if it doesn't end up appearing until 2.2.1 or so.--Scrotch 02:09, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

Rogues' Sap?

Sorry if this is in there somewhere, but I sure didn't see it... Does 2.2.0 address the issue with rogues' Sap ability not flagging players who club other flagged players? (Example: An unflagged rogue Saps a flagged warrior in Booty Bay, but the rogue himself does not remain flagged nor do the Bruisers chase him.) ~ Doc Lithius (U)(T)(C) 04:18, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

I'd be surprised if sapping someone would cause Steamwheedle guards to attack, as the rogue would still be in stealth. Not getting flagged, however, does sound like a bug, although like you I don't see any information indicating that this is fixed. Trying out a rogue on the PTRs would probably be the only way to get an answer at this point.--Scrotch 02:13, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
Although I agree that this should be sorted, it is pretty funny to do this to people while they're crafting something, so it interrupts them whenever they try. Orc shoulders

My friend told me that the Orc shoulders were to be fixed in this patch. See this picture... http://www.mmo-champion.com/images/news/2007/september/orc_shoulders.jpg. But for some reason I don't see it listed as one of the changes. So does anyone else know if they will be fixed in this forthcoming patch?

The Patch

Its all right, but what do we do when there all clumped together and cant see or click on all of them. Do we spend our whole game clicking on farmers,lol last game in av There was only 15 fighting and 25 standing and farming. thats a long time clicking just to get farmers.

Full Notes Available?

This is apparently not the full patch notes as released. When I remarked to a friend that the change with delaying auction house payouts was not in the patch notes, he said it was, quoting, "Auction House generated emails for successful auction sales will now have a one-hour delay and is no longer instantaneous."

I've asked him for the notes he quoted from, but if someone else has them, it would be nice to have this page reflect what Blizzard actually released with the patch. Tale 15:04, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

The delay was put in in the last patch, I believe, when they changed items to go instantly between characters, but money took longer. Preventing gold spammers sending money easily...--Azaram 02:41, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

Auction House generated emails for successful auction sales are still instantaneous.". And now with the new patch [3], "Auction House generated emails for successful auction sales will now have a one-hour delay and is no longer instantaneous", it's an hour. Area Damage Caps

A lot of spells have these now. I don't see any specific page on here (in game mechanics or terms specifically) with that title. Does anyone have any specific information on what these do in terms of game mechanics, other that the obvious 'this spell does less damage for the same mana' effect. Although, with higher bonuses from gear maybe less total damage but more damage to the mobs that actually get hit etc.

Specifically is this a cap:

  • On max number of mobs effected? (more damage per mob, less mobs affected)
  • Max damage for the whole spell. (same number of mobs but spell stops damaging after the 'cap')
  • some other 'capping' mechanic.
