There are a few quests in Howling Fjord where the player is sent in to kill scourge murlocs, or "mur'ghouls" I think they were called. Does this mean the Scourge has managed to penetrate their immunity or are they still free-willed? The quest chain seemed to imply the necromancers were a tad desperate. Weird Picture

What's the matter with the first picture on this page? The murloc seems to have a fishtail, which looks quite strange in my opinion, since the WoW Murlocs don't have them O.o Tinkerer

They did in early promotional screenshots. I do not have a link.--SWM2448 20:48, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
Yes I was wondering what that was. If they ever come out with a Great Seas Expansion it shall surely be in it. Hawkwing

Gazban is a Murloc?

I swear Gazban is a goblin. He hangs around murlocs in Vile Reef, but he's a goblin. You can also see his "ghost" on the Haunted Isle among the water elementals. If someone confirms he's not a Murloc, he should be removed from the list.

--Fandyllic 10:59 AM PST 29 Dec 2005
Yeah he's a goblin. WOuld someone please create Gazban's page ?--Kirochi 12:53, 15 September 2006 (EDT)

Murloc Sound

God, I hope that is a fan interpretation of the murloc noise! if so, it would make my day. --Morbid-o 16:07, 28 Jun 2005 (EDT)

It's how murlocs spell their battle cry — or is it their mating call? :-$ Schmidt talk 04:19, 26 Sep 2005 (EDT)

Image Removal

ack, you removed my image! I spend a lot of time on it, and it was not over compressed like yours, or just ripped from that program. /cry

Murloc Kingdom

where is the source of this? I never heard of this.... --User:LemonBaby 16:58, 9 April 2006 (MEZ)

First ever seen Murlocs

"Underworld Minions Location: Maelstrom (coastal, subterranean) This tribe of Murlocs worshiped a Ghost Sea Witch. This tribe used to have an underground lair, but it collapsed when Thrall escaped their dungeon. These were the First Murlocs introduced in to the Warcraft Universe. Suprisingly other members of the Underworld Minions included ghosts, golems, spiders, skeletons, gnolls, salamanders, golems, and sludges"

No. There were Murlocs since the first map of the Campaign mode, when Thrall trains in Lordaeron, during the tutorial. When Thrall levels up, he gets a level 2 spell which casts a lightning chain, and a little encampment inhabitated by 3 Murlocs is the ideal target for this spell. And there's a misspelling on "worshipped".--Kirochi 11:25, 23 June 2006 (EDT)

the demo came out before the original game???

What does that have do to with anything? Yes the demo came out before the original game! Saimdusan

Oh I get it, yeah it was the first introduced, since the demo came out before the vanilla (non-expansion) Warcraft III, even though the demo was only included in TFT (it was downloadable pre-TFT). Saimdusan 00:46, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

Murlocs in the Burning Crusade

There will be Murlocs in Quel'Thalas, I've seen a shot with Murloc huts in the Bloof Elf area, as well as on the coast of Bloodmyst Isle. Shandris 12:16, 13 August 2006 (EDT)

Um. In Warcraft III the mobs were almost randomly set, so it's probable, but not absolutely sure.--Kirochi 08:54, 13 September 2006 (EDT)
Eh..I am 100% sure, wanna see proof? Shandris 11:20, 13 September 2006 (EDT)
Yeah, if your proofs come from WoW and not Warcraft III.--Kirochi 15:46, 13 September 2006 (EDT)
I remember reading about it, that there will be murlocs in Quel'thalas. Do you remember the murloc guy from Blizzcon? He asked about it, and was very upset when he found out there would be more to kill there! -- Kirkburn (talk) 15:56, 13 September 2006 (EDT)
The murloc guy ? oO--Kirochi 16:11, 13 September 2006 (EDT)

Murloc sound + banner =

I propose the be removed, since no other race has this. Saimdusan 00:48, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

That's because murlocs are special. ---- Varghedin Varghedin  talk / contribs 11:14, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

I Am Murloc

Should there be a note about the new 'I Am Murloc' song Blizzard has released? -Rovdyr 20:54, 7 August 2007 (UTC)

Lovecraftian Relation

Has anyone ever considered that, perhaps, Murlocs have had some sort of influence from Lovecraft and are perhaps worshipers of a Cthulhu-esque being? Take a look at this:

"Several indicators from the murlocs themselves point to the possibility that the fish-men are but worshippers or underlings of perhaps several deep-sea monstrosities that currently lie sleeping, or at least waiting, in the murky fathoms— and even more disturbing, that the murlocs' emergence is an indication of their incipient awakening.

If that is the case, the mysterious and somewhat underestimated murlocs may be the world's first glimpse at something far more terrifying. "

Sounds like Cthulhu to me... anyone else think so? Maxman280 19:52, 22 November 2007 (UTC)

Well, they look kind of like Deep Ones... —Qit el-Remel 06:46, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
I think it is Dagan. In the game this would be Neptulon. Rolandius (talk) 12:08, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

Clean it up

The first bit is fan assumptions, but please do not fix it with reems of RPG text. The types need to be updated with all WoW, WCIII, and RPG classes. The list of notable murlocs needs to be updated with more named mobs.--SWM2448 21:38, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
