## Speed Totals

Ok, I'm good at math, but I'm kind of confused at how they got those totals. 492% flying mount speed? I thought that there was only a few increases in speed. Could someone please explain to me how they got those numbers? Jclipps 00:55, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

looks like a typographical error. They typed 380% instead of 280% for epic flying speed, and then all the rest of the numbers were wrong.

So when using items or auras, it doesn't add the percent, it takes n% of what you have and adds that? For example: it would be 280% flying + crusader aura would not equal 300% but actually +(280x.2)=336%? jclipps (talk) 20:40, 22 April 2009 (UTC)

actually you should also include the normal 100% speed of your character, so the speed of epic flying with crusader aura will be (100+280)*1.2=456% , which is a 356% bonus —The preceding unsigned comment was added by DroRaz (talkcontr).

## armor=speed?

why do the epic mounts always have armor on them? doesn't that slow them down? why not take off the armor and have super fast mounts?

Sign your posts please. And well, Armored mounts have a better training to carry all taht stuff around and more. That should make them faster =P Azahel (talk) 01:55, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

I think it is because they are epic and look cooler with armor... Rolandius (talk - contr) 02:02, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

## category

I put this back into the Mounts cat instead of the Mount Items cat because not all mounts are items. -- Harveydrone 15:15, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

## Only Gnomes get mechanical mounts?

"Mounts are a much sought after form of transportation in which players ride atop the backs of select Bind on Pickup creatures (and for gnomes, machines) of Azeroth and Outland. " I really think this should be edited to say " Bind on Pickup creatures or machines of Azeroth and outland" as with the addition of engineering flying mounts, and the fact that a dwarf can utilize the gnomish mount, stating "and for gnomes, machines" is a bold misrepresentation. Dwarves can machine too! Also, druids can ride around on a flying machine. Seem strange to anyone else? Anyways, I did not feel comfortable just editing this, as I ran across a petty exchange on whether a gun's firing action was chemically induced, or mechanically induced. I guess I am a little gun shy nooblet.--Bipper 14:10, 30 April 2008 (UTC)

## Zhevra mount

Someone in my server recieved a swift version, I added it's id, also looked up the Recuit page, it had good info that can be added; so I guess the 'speculation' bit can be removed.--Mondoblasto (talk) 05:51, 6 August 2008 (UTC)

## Albino Drake

Only available on the PTR/Beta at the moment. But its the achievement reward for having 50 mounts. --Thargan (talk) 10:40, 22 September 2008 (UTC)

## Northrend Bear Mounts?

Anyone? -- Martek (talk) 20:17, 24 September 2008 (UTC)

What are you asking... if they exist? User:Coobra/Sig3 20:19, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
Got my polar bear last week from the Brunhildar village dailies. --WoWWiki-Dga (talk) 16:18, 22 July 2009 (UTC)

## Achievement Mounts (Albino Drake Page)

Just a little point of contention the Albion Drake Page claims that it is the only flying mount that is available, yet there are 4 flying mounts (proto-drakes, violet, red, black and plagued) available from other achievements, the "Glory of the" series and the overall world events "What A Long, Strange Trip It's Been" achievement. --Moyanna (talk) 15:21, 4 October 2008 (UTC)

## Camera Flip

I tried the /console pitchlimit 99999... and how do I get my camera back to normal? Spinosauria (talk) 01:38, 14 October 2008 (UTC)

Use /console pitchlimit 89. (It's measured in degrees, but hitting the 90th degree will flip the camera over which is what I am assuming you don't want anymore). ++Arx Fortis (talk) 03:42, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

## Updated with new information - Hunter Pathfinding Talent

It is 5% and 10% as of the newest patches before Wrath of the Lich King

## Unholy Presence

Shandris, Unholy Presence does affect mounted speed. At least it does on my DK, and so I assume it does for all. Jormungand01 09:35, 11 December 2008 (UTC)

No dear then that must be a bug from your side. Unholy Presence DOES NOT increase mount speed whatsoever. Check here:

-- 11:02, 11 December 2008 (UTC)

Sorry, meant Unholy Aura. Looks like I'm not the only one getting them mixed up. Jormungand

## Locating class mounts in page

The class mounts are listed under the Discounts section, which was not at all intuitive for me when I was trying to find the DK flying mount. (I didn't know its name.) I ended up googling it and finding it at Wowhead. I suggest moving that table to a top-level heading, "mounts by class". And the DK's mounts need to be mentioned and linked at Death knight. -- ScratchMonkey (talk) 08:02, 15 December 2008 (UTC)

## 3.0.8

Have we got this right? The patch notes mention removing "racial restrictions" so e.g. Taurens can ride tiny mounts. They say nothing about no longer requiring exhalted status. paulbrock (talk) 10:21, 18 December 2008 (UTC)

They'll still require the required rep. The racial restrictions are being removed cause of the 100 mount achievement being added and it being unfair to taurens. User:Coobra/Sig3 20:35, 18 December 2008 (UTC)

## Missing mounts

I just noticed that there are still some mounts missing that can be obtainable. The ones I noticed missing are; Bronze Drake (100% drop from Infinite Corruptor, CoT: Strat heroic timed run), Blue Drake (drop from Malygos 10-man), Azure Drake (drop from Malygos 25-man), Black Drake (100% drop from Sartharion 10-man, when you leave three drakes alive), Twilight Drake (100% drop from Sartharion 25-man, when you leave three drakes alive). Neltharion (talk) 15:38, 20 December 2008 (UTC)

Confirmed these have all been added to the main article. -Howbizr (talk) 19:21, 12 March 2009 (UTC)

## Aquatic Mount!!

With 3.1 comes the first high-speed water mount, called Aquatic Riding Ray. Can someone please add it in under the right paragraph? -- 12:29, 25 February 2009 (UTC)

I invite you to be bold.AMBER(RΘCK) 16:52, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
Or wait till it actually makes an appearance... I remember a black warp stalker mount being in the game files... but you don't see that as a player mount. User:Coobra/Sig3 21:56, 25 February 2009 (UTC)

Source? Looks like wowhead, but it doesn't come up when searched. Unless its actually been seen, its considered datamined, as blizzard didn't announce it (it was undocumented). User:Coobra/Sig3 22:14, 26 February 2009 (UTC)
I tried and tried and tried to verify their source and couldn't. But MMO Champion claimed it was a bluepost. Normally they give a source for their blueposts, but not on this article. A bunch of other fansites has the same exact announcement, also with no references (or they point back to mmo champion). So... it's unconfirmed announced. -Howbizr (talk) 22:40, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
Bibi (MMO Champion's webmaster) just confirmed it was datamined. --Pcj (T

That's it - no one trust Boubouille anymore! -Howbizr (talk) 22:51, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
HA! I must have emailed him at the same time you must have messaged him, cause he emailed back your chat. -Howbizr (talk) 22:56, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

## Stealth Update for Flying Mounts?

The standard and swift flying mounts (windriders and gryphons) are now available from Mei Francis. Seeing as she is listed as Kirin Tor, the prices for these might be cheaper based on rep. I'm unable to confirm this at the moment since I currently have zero rep with Kirin Tor; anyone with better rep care to confirm? Although this wouldn't help any level 70's trying to get their epic flyer, it might save you some gold if you're trying to collect mounts. Grotuk (talk) 16:40, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

Wait till 3.2.0 if you really want to save money. User:Coobra/Sig4 19:18, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
Mei Francis's mounts are indeed affected by the rep discount, while the ones in Shadowmoon Valley are not. Ultimately, though, this isn't a HUGE discount. At Exalted, you save 20g on the normal ones and 40g on the epic ones. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 19:20, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
Good grief. My main toon just went around and finished buying up a lot of the standard mounts... --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 19:26, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

## Mounts and raids

I have seen for myself that a raid member not in my group was able to ride my hog as a passenger, within the Obsidian Sanctum instance. I haven't proved that the same holds true elsewhere, yet. --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 17:16, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

I have some old boots with Mithril Spurs (+4% mount speed) but measuring speed in game, they do not seem to add any speed to my level 80 toon but they do add speed to lower level ones. The tooltip does not say they will not work past 70, they just seem not to. I would like to get other results and then update the spurs line item in the speed section to reflect actual game effects. --WoWWiki-Dga (talk) 16:16, 22 July 2009 (UTC)

## Grand Black War Mammoth

I guess we need to add the Grand Black War Mammoth that drops from Archavon and the two mammoths that can be purchased for Stone Keeper's Shards. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Jakyer (talkcontr).

## Zebra striping

Perhaps the tables used for this page should be "darktable zebra" striped instead of using the alt (color) tag, given how often they appear to be changed. --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 18:10, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

Done. -- (M o r p h | C | T) 22:45, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

## Pictures

Those pictures may cause lag on some computers. Also I noticed that since there are so many we should create a page with those images only. BobNamataki (talk) 17:44, October 19, 2009 (UTC)

I agree, the gallery is too large, given everything else this page is trying to do. Many individual mount item pages have their own images. A prominent link to a gallery page at the top would not go badly. --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 23:37, October 27, 2009 (UTC)
Plus I've been working to change up the current type mount pages, which include the images... slow going, mostly cause I haven't felt like doing it lately... but some have been done such as Saber mounts, Kodo mounts, and Talbuk mounts. User:Coobra/Sig4 21:28, November 3, 2009 (UTC)
Perhaps I took up the reins (pardon the pun) from you, Coobra. I spruced up a fair number of the mount pages, starting with the ones that (I felt) needed the least work. ... probably ones you'd worked on. You'd have to look up the histories to see which. Along the way, I've been sprucing up the individual mount pages, adding images where I find them, uploading images from thottbot or wowhead, adding cats, footers, etc.
There are a couple "XXX mount" pages to go, then I start in on the pages that redirect to the animal type. :( --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 19:49, November 5, 2009 (UTC)

Caution: When the individual 'type' mount pages are done, I intend to remove the gallery from this page in favor of those other pages. You've a bit of time to persuade me out of it if you REALLY want. Best start early, I'm fairly stubborn. ... and the load time on a fast connection is atrocious for this page as-is. --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 19:51, November 5, 2009 (UTC)

+1 for remove this gallery of Mount page. Klakmuf1 (talk) 01:33, November 7, 2009 (UTC)
Is this a vote or straight to act issue? BobNamataki (talk) 15:35, November 8, 2009 (UTC)
If someone really wants to push it to a vote, I have no objection. But absent someone really wanting the images to stay, I'll be acting on it. If you would like, for example, representative examples to stay in the gallery, now would be a good time to ask. ... or to do. :) --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 00:04, November 10, 2009 (UTC)

I was wondering if you can buy a mount without getting the riding skill.--AutisticMajor (talk) 19:52, February 13, 2010 (UTC)

You can but you wouldn't be able to use it--Toasty 04:51, February 14, 2010 (UTC)

## Swift Alliance Steed/Swift Horde Wolf

I thought that these mounts were like the OS drakes, where only one dropped if you completed the achievement. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 17:34, April 24, 2010 (UTC)

## Scaleable, and 310% flight

I don't see a list of "scaleable mounts" (those mounts that adjust to current flight restrictions, owner skill level, and/or possession of a 310% flight speed mount). I'd also like to suggest the term "exceptional flying mount" or perhaps "exceptionally fast flying mount" to describe them, rather than rely on terms like "ultra-rare". What do you folks think? --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 22:19, April 27, 2010 (UTC)

A section for those would be nice. As for the pure 310% mounts, I think extremely fast flying mounts would work... already the category name after all =) User:Coobra/Sig4 02:01, April 28, 2010 (UTC)

This is out of date. My Death Knight, Leontaris, knows Cold Weather Flying, and he is only Level 71.$Insert formula here$
