Requested item

Missing Malistar's Defender (9mp/5s). Is it an off-hand though?

Added and put into shield section. --WernerCD {edt}

External Links

If the item has a Wiki-page, why list the Thott/Alal link? If you clicks on the wiki link, the external links will be there. --Dracomage 02:24, 4 October 2006 (EDT)

I looked at the page and tried to use it as a reference for my quest to build a good mana regen set...

and was frustrated at the utter lack of consistency throughout the article. links were to some thott, some alla, some wowwiki (with some off-links to thott or alla or both). There was epic items in the non epic spots. Leather and plate were mixed in. Some items (Truefaith vestments for example) where in both lits. Total chaos, and not something I'm used too when parusing a wiki. It seemed to me that someone took three seperate lists, and slapped them together, with little patchwork here and there.

As to why I put thot/ala links - I just wanted something consistent that I, and hopefully other people, can use when researching regen gear. As it was, half of the items (Due to the extensive external linkage) came on red links that screamed 'Im empty.'

I also wanted to try and set it up so that anyone interested in building info for a mail/leather/plate-mana regen set would be able to edit and then find their info easily. While I play a priest, and know that's generally what this is for, I didn't want to leave the other classes out.

if it's to radical, I can revert it to what it was easily. This is my first time editing a wiki, and i hope it wasnt' too much. Please give me feedback. --WernerCD 19:02, 4 October 2006

I have no issue with how you organized it. My concern is the external TB/Alla links. Once I am done with my current project (reCATing Epic items to Epic Item), I'll make item pages for those that have none, and move the TB/Alla links there, and remove them from this list-page. But keep up the good work - for casters, this is an incredible resource! --Dracomage 14:26, 6 October 2006 (EDT)
I've noticed the work you started doing on the page, and I like the way it looks. This is the first page I've edited on Wowwiki, and i'm learning as I go. I've made some edits following the structure I see you using and some of the stuff I've learned from paruzing your changes. --[[user:WernerCD:
Its starting to look much better. The lay-out is much cleaner without the link icons, while still retaining the list information that is the intention of this page. --Dracomage 13:07, 9 October 2006 (EDT)
I've started adding stubs for items. I assume your the one that added a couple (Too lazy to check heh). After this page gets closer to done, I'll start messing around with updating an item or two. Maybe I'm lazy, but I just wish there was a way to preformat-copy from thot/alla. And all of this because of how awesome the Tier 0.5 walkthru was, and how dissapointed I was in mana-regen list. --WernerCD 9 Oct 2006

Faction Quest icons

To indicate which faction a quest is for use the Horde/Alliance/Neutral icons:

  • Horde 15 {{Horde Icon Small}}
  • Alliance 15 {{Alliance Icon Small}}
  • Neutral 15 {{Neutral Icon Small}}

It will make it easier for readers to identify which faction can get the quest reward. --Dracomage 14:32, 6 October 2006 (EDT)

Icons for classes? Priest/druid/paladin/etc? I didn't notice anything during a quick lookthru... maybe I'm blind.
No just for Quests/PvP faction gear. Certain items on your list can only be ontained by either Alliance or Horde. Best to indentify them. See +4 Defiler's Epaulets Horde Crest Arathi Basin Exalted --Dracomage 21:39, 9 October 2006 (EDT)
I was thinkin of stuff like Truefaith Vestments and Tier sets that are class specific.... but ahh well --WernerCD

Large Number of External Links

This page is tagged as having a large number of external links. Does that tag automatically remove itself after a set time? Because as of right now, there are a total of two external links (Which I will internally link momentarily). Or is two considered a large number? --WernerCD

It is a template tag at the very top of your article (I removed it). Great work getting it all done! Congratulations on your first Wiki entry. Looking forward to seeing what you plan to tackling next. --Dracomage 11:06, 10 October 2006 (EDT)
Well. first I need to make sure all the links on this page are straight and tidy. It's done now, but what errors are there from pushing to get here? And there are a couple quests that I'm unsure of how to tag (like for 'Cold Forged Hammer', which is alliance and horde, but thru obviously different quests) --WernerCD
I'll rake a look at some of the links. But do not worry about making it perfect. Someone else, will see something and "tweak" it to improve on the information. Its all about what the Wiki-concept is.--Dracomage 13:44, 10 October 2006 (EDT)

Opinions please

What's the opinion of visitors on the layout of this page, as I made it versus the layout of Level 60 healing equipment.

Healing has gear split between Rare, 20man and 40man. Where I prefer a straight list of best to worst for a given stat?

When looking at lists like this and other stuff like Resists, I find it easier to just have a long list. But i don't wanna hi-jack without getting feedback or idea on possible improvements :) --WernerCD

Post your request on WoWWiki:Requests for comment :D --Dracomage 13:43, 10 October 2006 (EDT)
Looked at Healing list. I prefer the mana regen one over Healing. But is there a way to "break" up the page into more sections to edit? The tables work, but can you break up example Cloth (section), into Cloth, Cloth-Head, Cloth-wrist, etc. --Dracomage 13:47, 10 October 2006 (EDT)
That's actually something I was wondering myself. I'm still fumbling my way around the formatting, and wasn't sure how to tag the headers to subheadings as you would with ==Cloth==, ===Cloth Head=== so that it would show up top like that, yet have the same look as it has now. I'm not sure what the limits on formating is, but it's something I'm having fun with. --WernerCD
Performed a ghetto-surgery to get the sub categories listed on the TOC. Not pretty, but works. --WernerCD
I think that works.--Dracomage 11:20, 11 October 2006 (EDT)
