"Once you begin getting signatures on your charter, focus on getting the remaining signatures on your charter and registering the guild. Signatures can disappear if you delay." - this was personal experience. I started a guild, took three or four days to do so. Each day one or two people would drop off the charter. How the crap do I cite that a guild has been able to change it's name by contacting a GM?

<The Army of Destruction>, casual guild on Ravenholdt-US, was changed to <Ascended Mortal>, when the guildmaster "Nekrishon" contacted a GM by in-game ticket. The name change came into effect almost immediately, and has remained that ever since.

The questions asked were only on whether the new guild name would be spelled correctly, and whether it would violate the TOS naming policy.

Guild Management: A Compendium of Practices

I'm thinking of splitting out Guild Management practices into a separate page. See discussion http://www.wowwiki.com/WoWWiki:Village_pump#Guild_Management_Best_Practices. Specifically - create a page called "Guild Management: A Compendium of Practices" split by hardcore, casual, PvP and PvE guilds. Impian 04:22, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

Erm, ok big changes incoming ... I feel this page could do with some house keeping. Impian 02:29, 21 July 2007 (UTC)
The discussion noted above was archived at WoWWiki talk:Village pump/Archive16#Guild Management Best Practices. --Fandyllic (talk · contr) 3:50 PM PDT 26 Oct 2007

Guild policy on people section

I'm not convinced that "age" should be in that section. Many guilds have a policy that members should be age 18 or over because they want to be a guild for adults not children. I think that unlike the other items in the list this is perfectly reasonable thing to have as membership requirement. But I'm reluctant to edit article to remove it in this case. The content of this section is not supported by the terms of use, which I have just read. I will remove it. Sfaiku (talk) 08:27, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

I think some guilds have age requirements because they want mature-acting players. The leaders of these guilds probably assume that most players under that age are not mature enough. Felindre

Top 10 Guilds section seems to be outdated: see wowprogress.com for actual state.

Added some stuff

I've added some stuff. It isn't sourced but it's practically common sense. Doomhand (talk) 01:54, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
