Speculation on General Vezax

  • The Ulduar teaser video shows a giant faceless one model in the anteroom to the Prison of Yogg-Saron.
  • Vezax's voice in sound clips recently brought in the latest PTR build patch carry a slur similar to Herald Volazj's gibberish
  • The quote on /Creature/GeneralVezax/UR_Vezax_Death01.wav "[Laughter] Oh, what horrors await..." hint that he might be before Yogg-Saron

I'm waiting to post on the actual article because it may violate DNP. My guess is that he is the second-last boss of Ulduar though and should be reordered towards the end.

Mob Stub?

In what way does this constitute as a "stub?" It seems rather thorough to me, and at least checks out by the "boilerpage." WarnzNoth (talk) 03:25, 31 March 2009 (UTC)

I read somewhere (damm where ?) that as long as it's PTR and not Live it should remain a Stub. Loremaster A'noob, Arch Druid of the Noobhoof Clan (talk) 12:26, 31 March 2009 (UTC)

That one? --SFSig-2009 13:09, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
No that's for PTR Stub, not just Stub. I meant Stub/Mob (or like). Or maybe I'm just becoming crazy... Loremaster A'noob, Arch Druid of the Noobhoof Clan (talk) 13:17, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
Read: Replace with {{Stub/Item}} or other appropriate stub tag if necessary. --SFSig-2009 15:56, 31 March 2009 (UTC)

Model and Cthulhu

I could be mistaken here, seeing things that aren't there, but the model of General Vezax seems to bear a vague resemblance to Cthulhu in Lovecraft's work. I haven't seen this guy in game so my speculation is based solely on the videos and the screenshots. His head seems vaguely squid-like, his body is scaled and he has some kind of 'wings' on his back. Just a thought, influence from Lovecraft could be greater then we think. --Hazir (talk) 08:49, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

Lovecraft's influence is great, look at the Old gods, their twilight clan worshipers, the madness when you look at yogg-saron (THE basical device used by lovecraft)

10 man Strategy

The Strategy for General Vezax on this page is unclear to me and my guild-mates. It has not proven very useful as we have progressed through Ulduar. I tend to use this wiki as a quick source when we struggle with things. I would like to see the strategy cleaned up and clarified. We haven't cleared General Vezax yet, so I don't think I would be a good candidate to write the strategy. From what I have read else where, and from my experience in trying to clear him this week, I think the current strategy contains a method that is capable of killing him. However, the way it is written makes it sound like people need to be within 15 yards of him, and doesn't clearly state anything about WHY at least 4 people should be 15 yards away. I would be willing to write something up that could be edited, but I think it would be best for someone who is farming General Vezax to write up a clarified strategy. I just wanted to comment as a dedicated user of this wiki, although I don't typically change the content. I am willing to write something if nobody else chooses to. -ZenidineProtection 6/16/09

I'm making a 10-man version of the strat. Since it's different of the 25-man, it needs to be written

There you go.

25man info

Is it just me or did someone just copy/paste the 10man info? aside from the info on his melee attacks the damage numbers were just about identical, and it foolishly had a 5 second cooldown on Searing Flames with ONLY exists in 10man--Oni Ookami AlfadorTalk|@ 03:12, 26 June 2009 (UTC)

I'm taking on this.

Done, but I can't find the Searing Flames spell in 10-man.
Thank you, the article is MUCH more reliable now. --Oni Ookami AlfadorTalk|@ 10:42, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
