I'm a relatively new mage and I've never played a 'lock, so forgive me if the answer is obvious, but why do mages have 'comparatively little use' for this? It's a better wand than I'm using right now, and if I got a chance, I'd roll 'need' on this. Am I missing something, or was this just written by a warlock/priest?

Seems a bit one-sided, yes, so I'll edit it.. But, know that while a mage should have a constant stream of casted spells (Frostbolt, Fireball), a warlock or priest usually relies much more on DoTs. This means that they indeed might have a little more use for it, as they can shoot while the mob is being damaged by their DoTs - a mage, however, has to wait for the wand's general cooldown to vanish. --Tinkerer 14:03, 8 January 2007 (EST)
