Do you think Arthas and the newly announced Stormrage by Knaak will be following the Warcraft 3 / Frozen Throne campaigns or will be featuring these characters in their current state?Dakovski (talk) 05:24, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

As I'm sure Ragestorm will say, this is not a forum and such discussion doesn't belong here. On a personal note, I'd say that seems likely, and if its true I hope there is also a Thrall novel in the works as well, as a direct sequal to Lord of the Clans.Tweak the Whacked (talk) 06:08, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

Golden stated, or at least implied, that it's akin to telling Arthas' story. The "present" will be in/around WotLK and the past leading up to that. On another note, where did the release date come from?--Hawki (talk) 03:51, 31 July 2008 (UTC)

Title

The picture of the front cover says Athas: Rise of the Lich King. I think that would be the whole title correct? Rolandius Paladin (talk - contr) 11:28, 17 October 2008 (UTC)

Yes, I am moving the article.Dakovski (talk) 11:30, 17 October 2008 (UTC)
Cool that works. LOL Rolandius Paladin (talk - contr) 11:32, 17 October 2008 (UTC)

World of Warcraft in front of hte title?

Isn't the title a bit long? Since when have we put "World of Warcraft" in front of titles? Are we to start moving Beyond the Dark Portal to World of Warcraft: Beyond the Dark Portal? This page could easily just be Arthas: Rise of the Lich King.

Its no freakin duh that most websites will have "world of warcraft" in front of the main title of the book since that's standard practice for all the novels. Previous novels list the books as "World of Warcraft", or "Warcraft" as part of their titles. But we have never once listed the series title under the book articles in the past, except for if a title needs to be disambiguated from something with the same title. Please give a good reason why we would change the system now?Baggins (talk) 01:19, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

Hallow's End?

I know this isn't a forum, and what I say won't change much, but anyone else think that Hallow's End being in the book is kinda a plot-hole? I mean, if the Hallow's End article is correct, Hallow's End is supposed to celebrate the Forsaken's defection from the Scourge.

But...the Forsaken didn't exist yet. As in, no Hallow's End. Yet...Hallow's End is in this. PLOT-HOLE ANYONE!?!?!??!?!?! Toran Wildpaw of the Frenzyheart (talk) 02:50, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

Hallow's End was originally a festival near the end of harvest for humans. The Forsaken later adopted it. Possibly the name itself was used for the original version.--Hawki (talk) 10:19, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

Oh, ok. Toran Wildpaw of the Frenzyheart (talk) 10:25, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

Galley

I won one of the galleys for the book, so is it alright if I begin creating profiles for the new characters and updating information, or do I have to wait till the official book is released to make the changes? I know the differences between the galley and the original. I've got some pivotal information on our darling Captain, but I don't know what the rules are in this scenario. --Timolas (talk) 20:42, 23 March 2009 (UTC)

Newer comments on the bottom please. Rule is about two weeks after official release dates (Were dying to update these articles as well). So no spoilers yet. BTW good job on you know what.Warthok Talk Contribs 22:02, 23 March 2009 (UTC)

Parallels with StarCraft?

This is perhaps stretching things, especially as I'm not among the lucky buggers who got their hands on the novel early, but I've noticed a key similarity between this novel and the StarCraft novel I, Mengsk in regards to their seperation of sections-three each, all covering a period of their protagonist's life. Judging from the three sections mentioned in this article, it definetly seems to be the case.

Granted this technique is hardly unique, but with Arcturus and Arthas being key characters in their respective universes and with the two books being written by different authors, I can't help but wonder if this may be something of a standard modus operandi by Blizzard, dictating a similar style of writing for phases of their protagonists' life. Not overt trivia, but I thought it was perhaps worth mentioning.--Hawki (talk) 10:57, 30 March 2009 (UTC)
