Revision as of 23:44, 31 January 2011

Is the Entrance as shown in the screenshot? I've only been to it a few times, but I had to enter it in ironforge. Is there more than one entrance?

Screenshot is correct. That's in ashenvale.

You can enter Battleground from Battlemaster in any of capital cities, or through main enterance - in this case, southern Ashenvale for the Alliance, northern Barrens for the Horde. --Sul'jin 20:35, 28 December 2006 (EST)

"Old Faction Rewards"?

Why do we still have an "Old Faction Rewards" section? RobertM525 14:46, 16 December 2006 (EST)

I have no idea. I recommend moving it to a page for 'old rewards,' and off the current one. Qii 15:18, 19 January 2007 (EST)

New bonus honour for holiday weekends

bonus honour is 100 for winning, suspect it is the same for losing but will confirm first. Bambers 18:30, 28 December 2006 (EST)

or not, its 60 for losing Bambers 20:04, 28 December 2006 (EST)

Spirits

Why exactly do the spirits seem "ok" with deforestation? Hordesupporter 15:37, 11 April 2007 (EDT)

The way shamanism works is that it's okay to take things, so long as you cherish their gifts and don't get greedy. And in the first War of the Ancients book, Malfurion says that civilizations do have the right to build their homes and that even animals do it. --Austin P 11:32, 26 May 2007 (UTC)

Beserking

Just out of curiosity, if a Warlock or other class has already applied a DoT and then grabs Beserking, does the damage of the original DoT gain the bonus damage or does it need to be reapplied? AzNsAnTaGiN 22:46, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

I expect that you have to reapply as the DoT effects etc. are set at casting time. --Dga 21:55, 7 August 2007 (UTC)

Precisely. The same was as spelldamage buffs (Spellstrike set bonus, trinkets etc.) don't retroactively affect DoTs. Anjow 01:25, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

Tactics

Parts of this section is somewhat dated as now all battlegrounds form a raid and drop everyone in it to start. It talks about effective group layout but doesn't give specifics about what groupings work well for what tasks. It doesn't discuss pros and cons of Ghost Wolf, Cat form, and travel form flag running. I will work on it a bit after the WSG weekend this weekend --Dga 21:54, 7 August 2007 (UTC)

Horde strategy for WSG

In my Battlegroup (Whirlwind), Horde owns both Arathi Basin and usually Eye of the Storm, but Ive been to Warsong recently and lost 3 times in a row. One time, the Alliance dropped our fc when 6 or 7 were on D. I'm serious, this happened. I seem to notice that the Arathi Basin strategy which does gold for us in AB, causes us to look like drunk monkeys in WSG, because half the Horde team never goes after the Alliance fc, while half the ALliance team goes after OUR fc. Since this isn't offical lore to WSG, I thought I'd just post this information to any fellow Horde players suffering my WSG drought. Eman91 23:48, 28 November 2008 (UTC)Eman91

Battle Template

Why not have Template:Battle underneath the zone template, or even merge the two? This would give a larger view of the battle. Example:

References to WSG Marks of Honor

Throughout this article there are references to WSG Marks of Honor - mostly with no mention that they no longer exist ;) As I'm pretty new to editing, I thought I'd put it to people whether they want to re-present this information as something like "Before patch x.xx players used to receive..." or maybe move it all down to a separate section, or simply delete the lot! Atm it is very unclear and perhaps misleading to new players - I would suggest either deleting or seriously re-organising things, as too much legacy information might kinda clog up the page, and most people don't need to know the details of how honor used to be rewarded? Like I say I'm new, so my apologies for my lack of Boldness ;) -- Taohinton (talk) 23:43, 31 January 2011 (UTC)
