Sputtervalve
Sputtervalve is a level 15 quest giver located in Ratchet in the Horde-aligned territory of the Barrens. He is a member of the Tinkers' Union, a Goblin engineering group, and has been placed in charge of Shredder development and research by Director Riddlevox. He has a strict deadline on getting information regarding the Shredders and has resorted to stealing information from the Venture Company, whose "new Shredders are better than (his) latest, with interchangeable hands and control grips". He will resort to "borrowing" schemata and other things if needed.
He starts the following quests:
[14] Samophlange
- The Samophlange, according to it's manual (Venture Co. Document 534x9) is a "device that can automatically regulate the flow of fuels, gas, liquids and related machinery". It is found in a large contraption of machinery of which it appears to be controlling. Sputtervalve wanted the Samophlange simply because he was curious as to it's purpose. When it was returned to him, he says he will possibly ship it to Undermine for further investigation (after he takes a look at it himself). However, he breaks it after he uses it, and sends the character to Wenikee Boltbucket to get it fixed.
