Shield in World of Warcraft is an item that can be used to prevent damage as armor, block attacks, and be equipped in off-hand slot. A shield cannot be used with weapons that require 2 hands as it fills the Off Hand slot. A shield contributes to the Armor more than any other items of armour. Warriors, Paladins, and Shamen are the only classes that may use shields.
