Chronex is the second boss of Ny'alotha
Background
Said to be born from the very first Hydra itself, This spawn from the sea has been kept as a pet for N'zoth himself. Since this is an old generation of Hydras; This beast has more then three heads and is wanting for a personal meal from the outsiders.
Abilities
- Berserk — Increases all damage done by 500% and becomes Immune to taunt in addition increases all movement speed by 300% | Activated if 8 mins have passed
- Flow of N'zoth — All 5 heads are active and alive, Increasing base damage by 20% for every head that is alive
Phase 1 Abilities
- Digestive fluids — Corrodes the target in burning acid, increasing damage taken to nature attacks by 5% In addition every application reduces armor by 10% for 35 seconds. This will continue to stack
- Acid Ripper — Causes 3 of Chronex's heads to bite the target inflicting 89,161 to 92,161 nature damage every 3 seconds for 9 seconds
- Creeping Plague — Targets up to three players shooting a bile of acid upon those targets inflicting 3% of their health in damage every 0.5 seconds for 5 seconds, Once the duration has expired the plague will mutate and spread to other nearby targets if they are in contact
- Acid Barrage — Chronex targets within a straight line of an area and shoots several acid like projectiles upon the area inflicting 17,114 nature damage every 0.5 seconds for 10 seconds to a group of targets and infects them with creeping plague if there health drops to 50%
Phase 2 Abilities
- Devour Whole — The heads begin devouring any random nearby targets upon the raid, Swallowing them until there allies can free them
- Digesting — Targets will suffer 11,111 nature damage every 0.5 seconds until the head is killed and frees the victim
Heroic Abilities and Changes
- Corroded Bile — After being freed by killing a head that devoured the victim, The target will have there healing reduced by 99% for 45 seconds
- Create anew — Within Phase two of Chronex, If a head successfully devours a target. It will also remove itself from the main body attempting to escape It's attackers in addition if a target dies while being devoured. The hydra head will split into lesser offspring of Chronex and the head will grow back upon Chronex
Boss Tactics and Information
- Chronex is a very simple encounter, It has two phases. One is the basic tank and spank phase while avoiding stuff and the Devour phase. The devour phase will begin one min and 30 seconds; Once that time has reached several of Chronex's heads will become target-able. The healers can not heal the targets that were devoured by the heads so the DPS must switch to those heads to get them out as soon as possible keep in mind in Heroic once released the target can not be healed for 45 seconds. In addition to Heroic mode upon hitting every Phase 2 Each time a head devours a target, They will throw them selves from the main body attempting to run away causing your raid to waste more time not saving the person, The Heads are completely subjected to CC/Ensnare effects so It's a must. If the head fully digest / Devours the person; It will kill the target and create Hydra Offspring that your raid has to deal with with that being said Chronex head will also grow back in turn making his
- Flow of N'zoth — All 5 heads are active and alive, Increasing base damage by 20% for every head that is alive
Continue to be active. For every time a head actually dies; It will permanently die unless It devours the target meaning Phase 2 will have less Devour targets making the fight much easier and easier to heal.
