:Commenting on the picture of the two "white" dragons in the burning howling fjord of Wrath of the Lichking. If you check out history of world of warcraft on the WoW.com site, you'll see it sas something like the greatest dragons of the five "major" dragonflights were chosen to be gifted by the titans bla bla.. Getting back to the earlier part "Major" dragonlflights.. meaning it isn't unlikely that there are more origonal dragonflights not yet exposed cause they are either extinct or very few in number. Also in the book "Day of the dragon" Krasus has a flower wich name I've forgotten.. it has a bronze core (bronze dragonflight) and five pedals, one red, one blue, one black, one green and one silver, each of these pedals + the core represent dragonflights. The silver one probable representing another still unknown dragonflight, maby the white dragons are either this flight or a completely other one. Also it is posible that they are infact part of Malygos's flight but gone bannanas, just as Malygos himself, since he is an instance boss. Another posibility is that they're somehow part of the undead forces, white being a more ""deadlike" colour. Plz comment on this post, I want to know what you think.<small>—The preceding unsigned comment was added by CaiuNariz.</small>

::BlizzConners say they are 'Protodragons'. It makes sense, proto is first and all colors split from white. They like the vrykul. Though, this can change.-- 22:25, 22 October 2007 (UTC)

:::All colors split from white "light". If you mixed all color pigments you get brown, or darker shades of color towards black. But its obviously Blizz was going for the light motif.Baggins 22:35, 22 October 2007 (UTC)

Half-Dragons?
−

Are there half-dragons in the wonderful world of Azeroth, like in Dungeons & Dragons? Is it possible for a human(oid) and a dragon in human(oid) form to mate? Are Drakonids in fact half-dragons, as one quest relating to them suggests? --<span style="font-size: 0.85em; padding: .2em .3em; border-top: 1px #D4AF37 solid; border-bottom: 1px #504c50 solid; background-color: #423189"> <span style="cursor:help;color:#4CBB17">XAVIUS</span> <small>(<span style="color:#FF7F00">This Clockwork Universe</span>)</small></span> 17:11, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

:I would probably credit that phrase "half-human half dragon" to mean purely in the physical characteristics and not having anything to do with his origins. We dont know if and what would happen if a humanoid and a dragon in humanoid form mated. Dragonspawn are mortal humanoid servents of the dragons that spent so much time around their master they slowly picked up their characteristics and began to appear more and more like them till they are what they are now. Drakonids seems to be similar but have also been known to be created and transformed from humanoids instantaously as opposed to the gradual evolution of dragonspawn (though the wyrmcultist in blades edge transform into dragonspawn when they gain the blessing of the flight). Nothing else (other than their appearance) implies Drakonids are the offspring of such unions. So as of now they aren;t half dragons in azeroth. I must admit though its a very intriguing idea. 19:27, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

A race called dragonkin?
−
−
Quest:Maxnar Must Die! says and has said that he, a drakonid, is "one of the dragonkin, half-man, half-dragon." This page says that mortal races become "Dragonkin" seemingly lumping drakonids and dragonspawn together. What should we make of this?-- 21:23, 10 November 2011 (UTC)

−
−
:I think they are just saying they are part of the dragonkin category(the only that has been sort of consistent the entire game)--Ashbear160 (talk) 22:04, 10 November 2011 (UTC)

−
::It may be saying that, but I read it as there being a use of "dragonkin" that is different than the creature type.-- 22:12, 10 November 2011 (UTC)

:::Is this race ever referenced again? ::::Besides the two places I listed?-- 22:18, 10 November 2011 (UTC)

−
−
:::::The first one is simply stating a fact. Maxnar, a creature that appears to be half-man half-dragon, is classified as a dragonkin. The second one could be explained one of two ways: that dragons and mortals-transformed-into-dragons together fall under the classificiation of dragonkin; or that dragonkin are half-mortal/half-dragons. I tend to think its the former, especialy considering the intentionally informal nature of Brann's Journal. However I do think dragonkin may have been used somewhere, sometime to refer specificly to non-dragon dragonkin. Possibly intentionally, possibly by a quest writer who didnt understand the term, but we cant really assume can we. It might be a term like Dragon, were it refers to a speciies but is also sometimes used to specificly refer to the mature adult stage of that specieis.

−
−
:::::In conclusion, i dont think it's a race. But i would that a comment such as "At times dragonkin may refer exclusively to non-dragon dragonkin" may belong somewhere on the page if you feel these findings warrant it.Warthok (talk) 22:45, 10 November 2011 (UTC)
