File:Ability Hunter Pet Bat.png Screech is an ability for Hunters to teach their pets. It can be taught to Carrion Birds, Owls, and Bats. It does physical damage to a single target and lowers the attack power of all nearby enemies. Screech is the most powerful pet ability for aggro management - 2 usages of Screech equals 1 usage of [Growl]. A pet is able to use Screech 8 times during a 15 second fight. Another use for Screech is gluing multiple mobs to the pet - Screech is an AoE ability so after 4 applications of Screech, nearby targets can be shot with a Hunter's [Multi-Shot] without getting aggro.

There are four ranks of Screech. They all use 20 Focus, have a 5 yard range, and are instant. Effect lasts 4 sec.

Note: Causes extra aggro to pet (pet version of demo shout), like [Furious Howl]

Usability

This ability is highly important in End Game raids, though many do not appreciate it. It can cut some 8% of the *melee* damage from the mob on the warrior. In "End Game Raids" this ability can be powerful. It is strongly advised that a hunter apply this on bosses that are beaten through on heavy melee damage. And the different ranks of screech stack with each other - which means with two hunters you can reduce 310 attack power from the mob.
