"For the empress..."

Scilla Murkshadow was a Naga Sea Witch who guarded Lady Darkscale. She was killed by Jaina, Rokhan, Chen Stormstout and Rexxar after they had received news from Jaina that she was not commanding the Humans to attack the Horde. The Kul Tiras Human forces were slaughtered by these Naga before Rexxar and the others came and killed them.[1]

Murkshadow was known to have reviled in her dark powers awarded by her divine monarch and the lord of the Legion, maximizing any opportunity she could to use them in an effort to loot the various Highborn ruins for further knowledge and and to sate the everlasting hunger for magic. Considered a repository of ancient arcane knowledge regarding the Highborn, her opinions were once even heeded by the legendary Lady Vashj. At some point, when Illidan called for allies among the naga to fight against his enemies, she laughed at his offer for revenge against the night elves, instead rallying a small coven of likeminded naga to besiege and take over the Kul Tiras base located near Theramore. During their occupation of the base, she gradually began to despise Lady Darkscale, jealous of the power that the latter commanded. To this end, she resolved to eventually kill Darkscale with gifts in the form of homemade mana potions laced with poison and other deceptive little trinkets.[citation needed]

In "Warcraft III", she was also a random Naga Sea Witch that could be recruited from the tavern.

Scilla in Mythology Edit

  • In the legendary Greek epic by Homer (the Odyssey), Scylla was a massive serpentine monster that was located at a well traveled waterway alongside Charybdis, who was situated on the opposite end. This is where the term between Scylla and Charybdis or more commonly known phrase, "between a rock and a hard place", is clearly derived.
  • In the video game SMITE, Scylla is portrayed as a little sailor girl with four draconic tentacles for legs.
