It takes focus and determination to use it as a weapon against living things. Knowing this, the Crusader may focus his mind away from defense and into offense to amplify his power."

Notes
Sanctity Aura is a talent in the Retribution tree, you will need to spend 21 points in Retribution to learn it. It is a staple of the retribution specialization due to the offensive, DPS nature of the spec. Its presence typically indicates that the Paladin is primarily oriented towards dealing damage and enhancing his party's as well, becomeing something of a "combat buffer".
Talent improvement
As of Patch 2.1.0 the 3%/6% bonus to healing done to party members from [Improved Sanctity Aura] talent has been changed to 1%/2% increased damage of anyone affected by the aura. This is a base change to melee damage and an end-damage amplification to spells.
Tips and tactics
Sanctity Aura is, for obvious reasons, the ret-spec aura and part of what seperates ret pallies from the other specs. It benefits all other damage-dealing classes as well; 2% doesn't sound like much, but at TBC-level damage outputs, it can add anywhere from 30-100 raw damage to melee and spells.
