Rut'theran Village as seen in World of Warcraft: The Comic
Rut'theran Village is an outpost port for the night elf city of Darnassus, located at the very bottom of the great tree Teldrassil. There is a portal here that goes directly into Darnassus, and a pier for a docking boat to Auberdine in Darkshore. There is also a hippogryph roost that both go for free to Auberdine, and for druids, from Moonglade in northern Kalimdor. The Midsummer Fire Festival braziers are lit here.

In Cataclysm
In World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, the old Rut'theran Village will be destroyed by the sea, and a new one will be built on a new patch of land slightly farther away from Teldrassil. It will have three docks arranged in a T shape, going to Valaar's Berth, Lor'danel, and Stormwind Harbor.
