The Regional Defenders was the local defense force of footmen for the unnamed village in the King's Road within Alterac during the time of the Third War. When they were besieged by the Undead Scourge, despite their best efforts they were unable to save the villagers. Forced to retreat and hounded by the undead, the small defense force led by an sergeant would be reinforced by the arrival of Prince Arthas and his forces. Few in number, the Regional Defenders joined Prince Arthas's forces.[1] They were also stationed in Andorhal but were overrun by the Scourge.[2]
