Kortoh Stripribs is an elite level 80 NPC found wandering around Icecrown Citadel, he is often stealthed and only shows up when a mob or an Alliance adventurer is close to him.
In World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, he's a level 85 boss in the Goroscream Hold instance.
Biography
Kortoh Stripribs is a former member of the Dragonmaw Clan of Orcs, he lost his faith in the Illidari cause after several spies from Alliance and Horde were found at their base in Netherwing Ledge. Since then, Stripribs lived as a mercenary at Outland, but soon found clients at Azeroth, making him travel between both worlds with frequency.
During the final assault against the citadel of Icecrown, Guénon, hired Stripribs to give military training for his less experienced men and fight for the Horde. In the aftermath, Guénon was so impressed by Kortoh's work that he invited the Fel Orc to join Guénon's Forces as a Rogue and Warrior trainer.
Stripribs was so impressed by the way the forces of the Horde received him -because he's a Fel Orc and wasn't discriminated for that-, that he accepted.
Rise as a general
Guénon will promote Kortoh Stripribs a general in World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, because of the impressive work done by him on fights for the Horde. Not a Rogue/Warrior trainer anymore -this function was given to his best former students-, Kortoh now paticipates the elite reunions of the Goroscream Forces -former Guénon's Forces-, most times aiding Guénon in making military strategies for their attacks.
Abilities
Icecrown Citadel
Kortoh is seen using the following abilities while fighting mobs around Icecrown Citadel.
- Cleave: A sweeping attack that does 2000 damage plus 500 to the target and his two nearest allies.
- File:Sinister strike.jpg Sinister Strike: An instant strike that causes 800 damage plus 300.
- Eviscerate: Deals 900 melee damage, damage increased by 50 per bleeding effects.
- Rend: Wounds the target, causing them to bleed for 80 damage over 20 sec. Stacks up to five times.
- Fel Orc Prowl: Stealthed. First attack done after breaking stealth deals 50% more damage. Note: Used when not in combat -or right after the end of a fight-.
- Blood Frenzy Swing: Physical damage done increased by 5%. Spins around nearby opponents for 15 sec, dealing physical damage and causing them to bleed for 100 damage over 5 sec.
Goroscream Hold
- Cleave: A sweeping attack that does 5000 damage plus 2500 to the target and his two nearest allies. Decreases the target's and his allies' armor by 8% for 1 minute.
- File:Sinister strike.jpg Sinister Strike: An instant strike that causes 3000 damage plus 500.
- Eviscerate: Deals 6000 melee damage, damage increased by 500 per bleeding effects.
- Rend: Wounds the target, causing them to bleed for 900 damage over 20 sec. Stacks up to five times.
- Shadow First Aid: The caster stealthes and heals himself for 750 damage per 1 sec during 20 sec. Stealth will break after healing is done, and first attack done after stealthing will deal 80% extra damage. Note: Stealth detection is vital for stopping it from happen, but the extra damage will occur after breaking his stealth.
- Frenzy of the Triumph: Physical damage taken will increase the caster's attack power by 5%. Ranged damage taken increases the caster's armor by 5%. If an enemy dies while the Frenzy is on, the caster will instantly heal 2% health. Lasts for 15 sec.
- Lifeblood: An instant cast spell which heals 3000 damage per 5 sec during 15 sec.
- Heart of the Fel Orc: Energy generation increased by 100%. Lasts 30 sec.
Cataclysm
With the Goroscream removed of the Horde by Garrosh Hellscream and their capital becoming an instance dungeon, Kortoh will be relocated to Goroscream Hold as a level 80 boss in the "Military Quarter".
