Slay Maziel inside the Silverlight Cave in Deepholm.


Maziel's journal chronicles a ritual of ascendancy that would transfigure his body to one of pure quicksilver.

The ritual would talke place in the cave near the Lower Silvermarsh, where Maziel would feed upon the mercurial oozes until achieving full strength.

Perhaps it is not too late to put an end to his madness.


You've disposed of an enemy before he could grow more powerful. By eliminating Maziel you've also ensured that his powers will not be used against the Earthen Ring.

. Watch out for the Greater Quicksilver Oozes! Maziel, the Mercury Ascendant, can be found at the bottom of the cave[72.9, 62.0]

  • Inv inscription pigment silvery  [Mercurial Absorption]ω ϖ—Consumes a spell, absorbing its magic and using it against the caster. 1 sec cast, uninterruptible. It will gain a "Mercurial Absorption" buff. When hit with a spell while buffed, he will cast the same spell back at his primary target.
  • Inv inscription inksilver01  [Mercury Rain]ω ϖ—Summons 86811 mercury droplets. 1.5 sec cast. Only 6 actually got summoned, however... They only have basic melee:
