Blood of Morphaz is the Priest class-specific Sunken Temple Quest. It is a long quest chain that yields a very good rare item for its level.

Objective

Kill Morphaz in the Sunken Temple of Atal'Hakkar, and return his blood to Greta Mosshoof in Felwood. The entrance to the sunken temple can be found in the Swamp of Sorrows.

Items Required:

Quest Text

Now the last part, the second cure.

The green drake Morphaz is known to be immune to all forms of poison and disease -- many druids died to bring us this information. There is no doubt his blood is potent for our needs.

A courier from the Cenarion Circle will take the parts you have already collected while you gather the last. Summon your allies and seek out the drake's lair in the sunken temple of Atal'Hakkar. Bring his blood to Greta Mosshoof in Felwood.

Reward

You will be allowed to choose one of the following:

Inv jewelry necklace 11

Blessed Prayer Beads is a quest-reward trinket from a Priest-only quest line involving Sunken Temple. It is argued to be the best reward option from that quest (even for Shadow Priests), as the other reward choices (Inv jewelry ring 32 [Circle of Hope] and Inv wand 09 [Woestave]) are easily replaced by gear from instances as low as Stratholme and Scholomance.

This item is a quest reward from Blood of Morphaz. This is a chain that starts with High Priest Rohan (Alliance) or Ur'kyo (Horde).

Effective Spell Power

Assuming this trinket were activated every cooldown, it would grant:

101 * 20 / 120 = 101 * 1 / 6 = 101 / 6 = 16.83 Spell Power

Inv wand 09

Woestave is a Priest-only wand from a quest line involving Sunken Temple, and is a very good wand for a Shadow Priest. However, there are better endgame wands available, so the recommended choice of reward from this quest is the Inv jewelry necklace 11 [Blessed Prayer Beads].

Inv jewelry ring 32

Circle of Hope is a Priest-only ring from a quest line involving Sunken Temple. While it is a decent ring, the general recommendation is for Priests to choose the Inv jewelry necklace 11 [Blessed Prayer Beads], since the trinket provides unique functionality. This ring does not.
