The Firewing Point Project is an ominious scheme led by Pathaleon the Calculator, one of the lieutenants of the power-mad Prince Kael'thas Sunstrider.

The Final Code

The little that we know of the project comes from the quest, The Final Code. The quest has the player destroy a mana bomb being built at Firewing Point in Terokkar Forest, the apparent location of the project. Prince Kael'thas has used the mana bomb to destroy what he considered was in the way, namely Kirin'Var Village and Cenarion Thicket. With a third mana bomb in the works of being made, and the completion text of The Final Code (YOU DID IT! YOU SAVED US! YOU SAVED THE ALLERIAN STRONGHOLD/STONEBREAKER HOLD!!), we can assume that the mana bomb was intended for the Alliance and Horde towns in the area of Terokkar Forest. That leaves us with a very vulnerable Shattrath City. From this sense of logic we can say the Firewing Point Project may have something to do with the destruction of Terokkar Forest. (Not the land per se but more of the resistance.)

Project: Hellfire?

It is possible as well that the red crystal deployed in Hellfire Penninsula was also part of the Firewing Point Project. Much like the mana bombs, the red crystal has provided for crystal (perhaps artifical) colossi to get in the way of the Temple of Telhamat and Falcon Watch.

Production

Pathaleon the Calculator, the leader of the Firewing Point Project, has left us with a number of clues as to the production of the Firewing Point Project. The project apparently has a deadline as indicated by his quote, "We are on a strict timetable". Most of his other quotes involve working as in like an office. We can also safely say that Sharth Voldoun is the field head of the project as said in the quest The Final Code.
