Biography

Shiorin

Never being one to let events pass her by, Shiorin has always been up to something. Growing up near Darnassus, she was outwardly a rather quiet, shy and unremarkable Night Elf. Her passion for exploring was most notably matched with a genius for finding trouble.

Descending from a strong military tradition, combat training was simply taken for granted by her family. Shiorin has never known a time when she could not handle herself in a fight, being well versed with most traditional weapons, especially her uncanny marksmanship with a bow.

Shiorin discovered an aptitude for tinkering at an early age, deft fingers and unique imagination making her the delight of traveling gnomish peddlers. It was a turning point when a traveling gunsmith allowed her to fire a rifle, a weapon shunned by Darnassiun tradition. The smoke may have cleared in a few seconds but the smile lasted for weeks afterward. Against the protestations of her family she departed the world-tree bound for Gnomeregon. There she enthusiastically advanced from apprentice to master engineer, the rifles she crafted there are highly prized for their beauty, accuracy, and technical innovation. But soon her wanderlust again took hold and she began exploring the world.

Shiorin volunteered for duty with the armies of the Alliance, quickly earning a reputation as a somewhat reckless but brutally effective soldier. Word of a deadly rifle-wielding Night Elf soon spread amongst the horde. Eventually rising to the rank of Knight-Lieutenant, her military exploits are well known to many. Shiorin is fiercely loyal, saving the lives of her comrades at great personal risk.

She eventually found herself joining a group of adventurers with a similar taste for exploring the challenges of Azeroth, together they formed the core of the now-famous "Dark Haven Guild", helping to ingrain the one principal everyone knows about them: The honor and expertise of those who wear the lightning tabard can be counted on. period. From the deepest mines of Blackrock to the furthest reaches of Outland, Dark Haven has been there. In spite of which Dark Haven remains a somewhat loose, casual organization, which suits them. With such deep and wide experience and history, it is hardly uncommon that a member needs to take time out for 'personal business'.
