Past yelling at/praising of me is archived here: Template:Archives3

Uldar "intro"

Do you think it should just be moved to Ulduar Raid or leave it on the Ulduar page? I wasn't sure where it fit, so I stuck it here because of the namesake. -Howbizr (talk) 00:20, 20 February 2009 (UTC)

It is about the raid, but I have no idea. The wing is called just 'Ulduar' as far as I know, like Utgarde Keep/Utgarde Keep (instance), but more so becase it seems to be the main section of the city/prison.--SWM2448 02:01, 20 February 2009 (UTC)

Frostborn/frost dwarves

Do you know if there are any ingame references to "frost dwarves"? Most quests I've looked through appear to just call them "frostborn".Baggins (talk) 00:01, 8 March 2009 (UTC)

I have not done any quests for them yet. Sorry.--SWM2448 00:21, 8 March 2009 (UTC)
You have to do the quests at K3 in Storm Peaks before they will send you to the Frostborn via a rocket (for when you are lower than level 77). -- (<span="help title=Morph>M o r p h | <span="help title=Morph_Contribution(s)_to_this_Wiki>C | <span="help title=Morph_Discussion_Page>T) MorphgnomeMorphdraenei 21:54, 20 April 2009 (UTC)

Warcraft III stat box

I drew one up at template: WC3UnitBox, heavily based on the one at the StarCraft Wiki. I noticed you have a project for doing up Warcraft RTS units, and thought you might like it.

The template is currently missing a lumber icon! It can also have stuff added to it (eg gold bounties), etc, when I have a bit more time. I added it to the Draenei Elite Assassin so you could see it in action. PSH aka Kimera 757 (talk) 17:25, 25 March 2009 (UTC)

Quick request: Don't start using this template for a bit. I want to get it up to snuff so to speak, and I have a few ideas about how to do that. --Sky (t · c · w) 18:39, 25 March 2009 (UTC)

Oh now you tell me :) Well, rather, I didn't see this post 'til today. I only added it to one more page; I'll wait 'til it's fixed. PSH aka Kimera 757 (talk) 16:02, 28 March 2009 (UTC)

I like the idea. Though, I will off doing anything with it until Sky gives the OK.--SWM2448 21:34, 30 March 2009 (UTC)

Gotta ask...

Noted your comment replying to Adys re my comment on his/her page. Got to ask: did your ears perk up because of the talk page, or that I did the edit? :) I've seen a fair amount of fairly swift response to my edits, and was wondering if I should become paranoid... :) --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 23:59, 9 April 2009 (UTC)

I usually have the Recent Changes page up on my screen with the Ajax box ticked. I was just following the current arguments and felt I had something to add. I am not stalking you any more then I can wiggle my ears.--SWM2448 00:27, 10 April 2009 (UTC)

Decompression sickness

I am torn between decompression sickness causing the dementia or the abandonment, on the Forsaken Spy in the Diving Log. The Forsaken don't circulate blood so much, do they? (That's always puzzled me ... if they're undead, why do they need air?) --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 21:14, 15 April 2009 (UTC)

There is too little information on Inv misc book 03 [Diving Log] to really psychoanalyze the guy, but I am guessing it is a combination of both. I do not know why they need to breathe. Gameplay, or an old habit from life? I recall that I gave a stupid guess on Talk:Forsaken a few years back, but I still do not know.--SWM2448 21:26, 15 April 2009 (UTC)

Leave the review points alone, don't add ongoing discussions to it. Nice corpus, though.--Ragestorm (talk · contr) 02:24, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

My bad. I still think they need improvement. Thank you for thinking so, I tried.--SWM2448 02:39, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

RE: Citations

{{Ref game}} should, as I see it, only be used when it references a different game other than WoW, since it is the main focus. The template should instead be used for example for Warcraft I/II/III missions and other games, which aren't covered as much by WoWWiki. --g0urra[T҂C] 06:12, 9 June 2009 (UTC)

Cat:Camps

Looked at Category:Villages. Description includes "... and camps". Saw you'd added the Camps category, perhaps in response to my message to Rolandius. Added cats to it, just to be thorough.

Still not sure if Camps should be a separate category, or rolled into villages. Would like to see a better description. Nesingwary's encampments would belong, as would several camp-like areas in eg Grizzly Hills. How about eg Ghost Walker Post? Camp? Village? See why I would like a better description than "has village or camp in name"? :) --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 19:17, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, it was in response to your message to Rolandius and my message to you. You are asking me to make an action based on a series of vague technicalities make sense? I do not think camp is defined consistently throughout the Warcraft RPG. The only thing I can think of is to expand it into "has village or camp in its name, or has been called a village or camp in any sort of reference in any official source". Even then, would it be worth it for categorization purposes? What do you think?--SWM2448 19:34, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
I've no knowledge of the RPG at all. I cannot discuss it in any informed fashion. As for the MMO... I agree, "Camp" is used to refer to anything from a few people around a campfire to Tauren (specifically) communities. If I were to do it from scratch, the "villages" category would be (something like) "any community with permanent structures, a flight point, or mailbox that is not recognizably a town or fortress". Camps would be communities without those. IE anything with anything of real interest would be a "village" (because "communities" or "small communities" wouldn't be useful names to casual users IMO). --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 19:50, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
Actually, Looking at Category:Towns and its subcats, I think my description of "Village" is consumed by those categories. Which leaves the question, "why is a village category still interesting?" Or put another way, "why do we have this category, again?" ... all of which also applies to camps. --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 19:57, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
I am just saying I think there is no anwser or point to this, even if the terms are used. A page with a cited list of every time both terms are used and how may help, but that would be a mess. You are of course welcome to do whatever you think is best, like rank and apply labels to types of habited locations (Which seems a bit like fan fiction), if you feel that would help. I do not know why they are there, but both Village and Camp are there because Rolandius made it that way.--SWM2448 20:03, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
Given what I know now, do you see any reason I should not disband both categories (to the extent I am able)? --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 20:09, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
You can not find a point. I can not find a point (But I do not deny the existence of the term). So I do not see any reason.--SWM2448 20:13, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

Cite to ref?

(Asking you as I remember seeing your name on this kind of changes the most, and I don't wanna be laughed at in the forums)
I haven't been very active on the wiki lately, so I probably missed it on the village pump/new forums, why are uses of {{cite}} changed to a hardcoded <ref>?
As far as I can see, changing the template to create refs would've been far easier and would require less effort. ~ Nathanyel (talk) 10:09, 16 June 2009 (UTC)

{{Cite}} was deprecated long ago and needed to be removed. <ref> type templates are cleaner and more professional. There was no real announcement, at least not a recent one, so you did not miss it. If you are asking why the changes are being done manually in the stead of through the template, then I have no idea why this was done, and no idea how to do it myself (My knowledge of bots is limited to much simpler find and replace functions, and only in theory). Cite should not be used within reference tags, if that is what you were talking about. Gourra is doing most of the changes, so he may provide further information.--SWM2448 17:31, 16 June 2009 (UTC)

Titans

There is no reference in lore to support your claim that "most scholars" didn't believe in the titans. This is only true of the humans. The "scholars" of the dwarves are the explorer's league, and bran is not alone in thinking of them as real. The gnomes certainly never doubted their existance, the trolls and tauren were AROUND when the titans were, and the night elves struggle against sargeras really left little room to doubt the existance of titans. Orcs and ogres, being not native, would have no opinion either way. Certainly the draenei know about the dark titan, and thus the other titans. The blood elves/high elves perhaps as well, though their shared history with the night elves implies a knowledge. Simply put, one race, and the newest race at that, doubted their existance, while every other major race believed in them and wanted to no more, the statements you made are just not justified by lore.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Crazyguy co (talk · contr).

The statements I put back[1] are almost verbatim from Shadows & Light. It can be added that this passage refers to humans if you wish, but it is 'in lore'.--SWM2448 23:51, 23 June 2009 (UTC)

Talk: Kargath

Why keep a dead discussion, one is some strange request that there should be a link to "a boss.. called Kargath" which there is, and other is a question if the village even exist?TherasTaneel (talk) 22:30, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

Block/ban policy

I view the fault here to be reliance on the telepathic interface, rather than necessarily a failure of discression. IMO the correct reaction to the (unprecedented) talk page spamming would have been "please don't do that. You are not demonstrating acceptance of the block." The correct reaction would have been, "I disagree with my being blocked, but accept your decision. See you in X days." But I don't believe either party could have acted/reacted in that fashion. They aren't those people.

G0urra surprised me with his pronouncement, as his statement did not include reasons or limitations. A 'rule' heretofore unknown to me; was I in violation of some policy or guideline myself? And here we are now. I hate surprises. I hate more the appearance of arbitrary behavior by authority. I'll leave "substance of arbitrary behavior" for another time. With any luck, never.

In any case, "thanks", and "no worries" are called for re your comments. --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 21:45, 10 July 2009 (UTC)

I'm guessing that the last line is a reference to my apology in my last post... But, I do not understand the rest. I will agree that a lot of things could have been less rude from most parties (Myself included), but the past can not be undone.--SWM2448 21:53, 10 July 2009 (UTC)
For what you didn't understand of my above, sorry. Equal parts wishful thinking, rationalization, bitter irony and failed attempt at humor. My bad. Didn't actually intend to provoke a response. --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 20:14, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

Talk:Baron Rivendare

I don't think that removing a comment on the talk page just because it is an empty piece of (inoffensive) fluff is the right action to take. Your edit comment would have been appropriate as a response on the page, sure. Because it was just a bit of fluff, it's probably not worth bothering with to put it back. But I don't know of a policy that says such comments should be removed. --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 20:17, 31 August 2009 (UTC)

WoWWiki:Talk_page_guidelines says that "Article talk pages are used to discuss changes to the particular article." and "...they are not a soapbox for personal opinions on the matter." I think that is the basis for uneditorial warnings. However, removing it with the edit summary of "So?" was rude. It will scare people off.--SWM2448 20:39, 31 August 2009 (UTC)

Ulduar

The biggest issue I'm having with the Ulduar description is the bad grammar. There are so many run-on sentences and poorly punctuated sentences that I've made the edits to improve other users' experience reading the content. If the copy for the Ulduar page can be updated without major grammatical errors (and errors of logical continuity) I'd be glad to stop updating it. There are good resources on the web for writing essays, such as this guide to essay writing [2]. I'd like to also mention that you don't own this website; it isn't vandalism when it is a public wiki, where anyone can add and modify content. -- Couloircarver (talk) 16:10, September 24, 2009 (UTC)

Usually you don't react so violently, SWM. Why a total reversion vs repairing those references you felt were essential? Was Couloircarver's new structure too closely written to usefully re-insert what had been lost from the original?

And Couloircarver, the vandalism aspect comes from the directly competing reversions, not the original edits. Wikiquette insists that discussion (at least) happen between the parties to prevent reversion wars. --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 23:43, September 24, 2009 (UTC)

Captain (character) split in 4 characters at RotLK

Could you please tell me who those 2 characters are? Marwyn isn't implied to appear as the captain unit, and I didn't know there was a 4th one. I think it's correct to say it was split in only 2 characters.--Lon-ami (talk) 10:56, October 1, 2009 (UTC)

Ok, as Marwyn never speaks I will say it was three: Falric, Luc Valonforth, and (in the one of the most pointless retcons ever) an unnamed ship's captain that says the lines of the Captain unit of The Shores of Northrends. See page 163.--SWM2448 22:21, October 1, 2009 (UTC)
I know about that one, I believe it's Luc, too. I'll ask Christie Golden later, asking her too to put it in her blog or something, to be able to source it properly.
Captain (character) is about captain units at W3. Only 2 have been named, Falric and Luc (Marwyn doesn't appear around), and there are other 2 at the forest mission of the undead campaign, but I'm unsure if they can be considered more than an unit.--Lon-ami (talk) 10:28, October 2, 2009 (UTC)
If you have to ask, then the book is badly written. It is not certain that Luc was the naval captain, as it is not said in the novel, but I see that this info has spread around the wiki portrayed as fact.--SWM2448 17:08, October 2, 2009 (UTC)
Well, the problem is that Christie didn't know he was called Luc Valonforth, so she left him unnamed. Timolas told Medievaldragon, who contacted Christie and her editors, who added the name at his second appearance. I'll ask, anyway. I believe they are the same, after all :P.--Lon-ami (talk) 17:10, October 2, 2009 (UTC)
I'll accept that, but I will reword the info until you can find out who was who.--SWM2448 17:17, October 2, 2009 (UTC)

Track Mechanicals

Listen, mate. I know you're just doing your job here. I'm not unreasonable, I assure you. However, I'd like it if you'd talk it over with the other admins and take a vote before immediately removing the article "Track Mechanicals" again. The way I figure it, if the previous two pages I'd mentioned can stay up despite the fact these items (or at the very least, the latter item) most likely has never been seen in-game (and I'm probably wrong on this), I wager that Track Mechanicals -- something that was added after the second expansion -- it more than likely acceptable on the grounds that it may be a mob or GM-only spell. If you admin folks decide that, no, the page is still not worth keeping for the moment, then I will conceed the point. Ultimately, it's your Wiki. I'm just trying to help. zombie petition

hello sandwichman I would like to ask the reason for the removal of my petition page from the wiki!?—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Biscuit12 (talk · contr).

I did not delete it, Coobra did. As for why, it violated WoWWiki:DNP policy. I think it was off topic because WoWWiki can not do anything about World of Warcraft, and I doubt Blizzard reads pages like that on the wiki. I can restore it if you want.--SWM2448 01:07, November 5, 2009 (UTC)

Why? I dont believe that advertising a petition to bring back an event in wow could possibly be in defiance of any rules I request that it be put back up. this is something pertaining to wow a wiki that a lot of people that play wow look through so it was looked upon as a great place to me to advertise my zombie plague petition. what have you got against it hmm?—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Biscuit12 (talk · contr).

I am not Coobra. I did not delete it. It was a bit misplaced though (it should have been a user subpage or a forum post, not a page in the main namespace). I will restore it...--SWM2448 01:16, November 5, 2009 (UTC)

Confusion

Hey there, I noticed that you marked one of my pictures with a "move" template. I just wanetd to know how come you did that? Also I do not fully understand what this template is or does so do you think with you're explination on why you marked it do you think you could give me a little clerification on what exactly it is? Thanks a bunch! TeeSon5 (talk) 01:58, November 7, 2009 (UTC)

I marked it with {{move}} because its name was 'HumanMale.jpg'. I felt that because it was not on the Human page, it should be moved to 'Lightbringer Chestpiece.jpg'. The template did nothing.--SWM2448 02:03, November 7, 2009 (UTC)

I need your help regarding my alternate account

Hail, Sandwichman

I have an alternate account named 'Grulloc' that that was recently banned by another Admin named Coobra. I am not sure the reason for this ban, but I speculate that it was because I forgot I was logged into Grulloc and edited my other user page, "Blackbane'.

At any rate, Coobra banned Grulloc, deleted the user page I was working on, and banned my IP address from the forums so I am unable to get help, discuss the ban, or find out whats going on and why.

This is obviously a misunderstanding, and there was no malicious intent on my part to vandalize anyone's page. The page that I had edited was my own, and I'd like to have my account unbanned, if possible.

I have attempted to contact Coobra regarding the issue but he has not responded to my messages. I am unsure where else to turn, sir.

Please leave me a message and advise me what I should do.

Respectfully,

Jonathan

I can restore the content of the deleted pages if you want me to, but I do not understand why you need the alternate accounts. It was likely taken as sock puppetry. I appreciate the politeness.--SWM2448 17:40, November 7, 2009 (UTC)
I deleted no pages, I banned Grulloc while he was working on User:Grulloc Hellrage, and even stated the reason on his ban. Sounds like another User:Bigstackstwo, making an account for each toon. Didn't even know he had another account Blackbane. SnakeSssssssssssssssssssssssss Coobra sig3For Pony! (Sssss/Slithered) 21:19, November 7, 2009 (UTC)

The Watchdogs

I see that the Watchdogs applications are finally moving, thats great! However I have a few comments about your denial of BobNamataki. Firstly, you denied him (I probably misunderstood) because of too few edits. We have approx the same amount of edits, does that mean I am denied too? Also, I posted my application first but his was attended to first. I'm not complaining, I am just asking questions ;D , best regards -- TeeSon5 (talk) 22:34, November 21, 2009 (UTC)

I was going by the number of edits in the main namespace minus edits that were deemed unsubstantial, at least on that point. I do not know if I should decline you or not. That is why you were skipped. You are new, and have a few minor problems, but nothing came out and shouted a decision one way or the other.--SWM2448 22:51, November 21, 2009 (UTC)
I am not sure I still fully understand what you mean by "number edits in the main namespace", maybe I'm just retarded. Also, about me being new; thats true. However I have been bugging the hell out of Coobra with every last question and I'm learning at a reasonable pace. I somewhat understand the code that goes on in WoWWiki (my first attempts on pages from scratch are getting better) and I do a lot of "behind the scenes" stuff. I guess you could argue most of my edits worthless and meaningless, but they exist; and somebody, one day, will want to see how much those Gray bracers look like before spending the 2 copper to buy them xD . Anyways, the choice is yours! -- TeeSon5 (talk) 22:54, November 21, 2009 (UTC)
...or any other admin's. A namespace is the word that comes before the colon in a page title. Each one is for something different. This page is "User talk:Sandwichman2448". "User talk" is the namespace. If a page does not have a colon in the name, it is in the main namespace where the main content of the wiki is (what people look up). If you improving, then you will likely get it someday. Just prove you should get it.--SWM2448 23:02, November 21, 2009 (UTC)

It was not wrong to remind me. I have not been following your edits as of late, so I still do not know. It is not a 'no'. At a glance, I do not see any vandalism or lax judgment in your contributions. If you want, you can still revert pages without being a Watchdog. I will now more actively think about it. You can also try and ask someone else.--SWM2448 22:43, December 6, 2009 (UTC)
Yes I could ask another person, and I might if I feel really strongly about my position as a Watchdog and you don't 100% agree. I must admit I was away the past 2 weeks or so; so my recent edits are low. However now that I know you're watching I'll get back to work. Is this right?

On http://www.wowwiki.com/Server:Los_Errantes_Europe I'm always trying to leave the guilds in alphabetical order, but the person who edited first that page is editing it constantly because "I edited the whole page and so I got the right to leave the guilds as I want to".
I think in alphabetical order is best for searching through them... What can I do with this unregistered user that's always editing the things he/she wants?—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Alherya (talk · contr).

Not exactly. I told him to leave the guild list in alphabetical order and he replied to me that since he created the article of Los Errantes servers "(I edited the hole article, doing so I have the right to put the first guilds as the firsts)". I asked him again for alphabetical order, since that's the easiest way to find a guild, but... being a member of Deus Ex Machina as he is, he was trying his guild to be the first on the list. Silly, since I wasn't trying to put my guilds on first place (Honor Kills on the Horde, Centinelas de Elune on the Alliance). Since another user has tried also to leave the list in alphabetical order an Thila has finally accepted, the problem has been solved. I just want to know if creating an article gives you the rights to do whatever you want with it before than another person, since anyone can edit any article. Check User rights

Hello, The Wikia Community team has agreed give you checkuser access, so I can switch this on for you as soon as I know you have both read and understood this message. Please let me know if there are any language problems or parts you don't understand. We rarely give checkuser rights to users, so when we do we need them to be used /very/ responsibly. That means that they should only be used when abuse is suspected, and never out of curiosity or for fun.

Mostly an IP doesn't give you much personal information – just a general location and the name of an Internet provider. But sometimes an IP can give information such as the name of a user's school. So you need to be very careful about what you pass on to others. You may need to expose an IP because you need to block it, but you should always be careful about the decisions you make. If you aren't sure whether to give out private information, then don't!

Remember that checkuser does not tell you who was sitting at a computer, and it is possible for there to be a coincidence of two people on the same IP at different times – or even one person stealing someone else's wireless! It's important to be aware of the possibilities, and to be careful as you interpret results. Remember, you can always get second opinion from each other or from staff.

So please remember to only use checkuser where there is abuse, and to be careful in interpreting the results. We will be watching! Please let me know you have read and understood this, and I will give you access to checkuser.

Thanks for all your work here! Best, --Sarah (talk 18:31, February 8, 2010 (UTC)

This is surprisingly odd...

I am just wondering how can a certain spell benefit more from bonus spell-power, if there is nowhere stated that this particular spell is not affected by generic game calculation mechanics?

I am talking here about Paladin's Spell holy surgeoflight [Holy Light] and Spell holy flashheal [Flash of Light].

I made an edit based on calculations and patterns available within WoWWiki domain.

Holy Light calculation: (2.5 cast time/ 3.5)* 1.88 healing multiplier = 0.7142*1.88 = 1.3429 (134.29% spell power benefit). When I made an edit, a user corrected me and returned a value of 166% based on nothing. Note: This spell is not being altered in any way from talents and glyphs regarding gaining additional SP bonus.

Flash of Light calculation: (1.5 cast time/ 3.5)* 1.88 = 0.8057 (80.57% spell power benefit). This spell had a value of 100% before I made an edit.

I really don't know where I have made an error, and if someone sees it, please tell me so I can really help and keep the stuff updated :)

Cataclysm Starting Areas

I hope my edit to Starting area is in keeping with what you were going for now the NDA has lifted.

Goblin players start at KTC Headquaters in Kezan, and after questing there they go through the evacuation event at the port and arrive in Shipwreak Shore in Lost Isles. The first proper settlement encountered after that is Town-in-a-Box – on the shore of Lost Isles' main island – after doing the quests in the small island area of Lost Isles.

I'm afraid I haven't followed Worgen starting areas as closely so i can't help there atm. -- Zeal (T/C)  19:42, July 1, 2010 (UTC)

Ah. That is fine. Thank you.--SWM2448 20:08, July 1, 2010 (UTC)

Outcome of Invasion of Gilneas

I read articles on quests in Gilneas and the people of Gilneas evacuate their kingdom. Can we assume the Invasion of Gilneas ended in a Forsaken victory? Also does Blizzard answer lore question wowwiki users have. And is there a specific site I can go to. Rimor Conscientia (talk) 04:11, July 5, 2010 (UTC)

Battle for Gilneas City. Kirkburn  talk  contr 11:01, July 5, 2010 (UTC)

Is there somewhere on this wiki I can find a list of Cataclysm quests on this wiki.

Im learning various new info about quests for Cata which has got me super excited! I hope Cata comes out this year! But I can wait. Back to what I was saying. There are countless new Cata quests articles on this wiki but its hard to find because you have to look through the feed and a few others. Maybe we should put them on one list to help Speed up updating articles. I'm more than willing to help. Let me know what you think. TACOS ROCK!!! :) Rimor Conscientia (talk) 06:49, July 5, 2010 (UTC)

Category:Cataclysm stubs lists them for now. They should also be listed under [[Category:<zone> quests]] for their respective zones. Much like tacos, Kaydeethree is awesome.--SWM2448 19:58, July 5, 2010 (UTC)

Possible Horde Alliance war article?

I know at the end of the Battle for Undercity King Varian Wrynn declares war on the Horde. Also in Cata Alliance and Horde forces are fighting all out war in the Southern Barrens. Their are also skirmishes on Lost Isles and Azshara between Horde and Alliance forces. Also the Horde and Alliance Navy are fighting for control of Sea lanes. So it seems like like the Third Alliance-Horde conflict or whatever you want to call it has begun. So is there going to be a possible war between the Horde and Alliance article? Rimor Conscientia (talk) 18:28, July 5, 2010 (UTC)

One will likely be created, and you can attempt to start it, but I have no idea what said war will be called.--SWM2448 19:59, July 5, 2010 (UTC)

Gallywix

Actually it isn't NPOV as all the stuff mentioned was done by him in the starting zone. Gallywix seems to have been specifically written to be totally unlikable. Copperblast (talk) 03:17, July 6, 2010 (UTC)

It is true that he does those things, but even though he seems to be designed to be unlikeable, you do not have to word the article in a way that is biased against him. Perhaps I overreacted to the bit about him being the leader being called 'illogical', which seems opinionated. Eh. It can stay.--SWM2448 03:23, July 6, 2010 (UTC)
Even a goblin quest giver in Azshara says he's disappointed in Thrall for putting Gallywix in charge and he disappeared again. Man what happened to Thrall, the writers are really making him suck now.

Copperblast (talk) 03:26, July 6, 2010 (UTC)

I'm pondering that. I'll probably have to wait until Cataclysm goes retail for all those little extra hints to figure it out though.--SWM2448 03:29, July 6, 2010 (UTC)

Help with using images.

Im a little confused. Can you explain to me the rules for adding images because Ive found a image for my Alliance-Horde war article but I dont know how to put it there and I dont want to do something im not suppose to. Rimor Conscientia (talk) 03:39, July 6, 2010 (UTC)

For the rules of adding images, see WoWWiki:Image guidelines and WoWWiki:Images policy. For the method of adding an image to a page, just add [[File:Imagename|thumb|Caption]] to the page. To upload an image to the wiki, see Special:Upload.--SWM2448 03:44, July 6, 2010 (UTC)

I found new info on Invasion of Gilneas,

I found article on the internet that says Sylvanas will use the Forsaken plague on Gilneas. Has Blizzard release that yet because I dont want to get into trouble for adding something Blizzard hasnt announced. Rimor Conscientia (talk) 06:00, July 6, 2010 (UTC)

It's in the beta, so yeah. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 18:43, July 6, 2010 (UTC)

Found a new image for Hearthglen.

I found a Image of Hearthglen in Cata. Since im knew to this wiki, I sorta don't know how to add a image to a article. And thanks! Rimor Conscientia (talk) 16:21, July 8, 2010 (UTC)

AFK -> Away?

Since AFK is called "Away" in WoW now, perhaps someone should rename the article for it on Wowwiki? WrathOfDeathfrost (talk) 12:16, July 25, 2010 (UTC)

The BIG BOYS

I'm gonna need your help on this one. I've got a user that made 65,430 edits. I've made 47. So, the thought process is, "He's right." How could I be right with only 47 edits? :) Page was Lucky Charm. User's name is coobra, worse he's an admin. Now I know, i'm in trouble taking on the big boys. :( He simply deleted my changes. No comment. No content update. No friendly helpful, "Sorry you are having trouble,' note. In The discussion I posted the following: 20100727 recevied an email my edits were removed because, "No edit summary was given". This in fact was untrue. I did update the summary:

  • Add graphic
  • Removed note that it was uncomplete
  • Listed the Pattern the item is used in
  • Created a Notes section for note
  • Created an Also See section for disambig's Raid target icons & Rabbit's fee.

Readingwhatyousaid (talk) 15:35, July 27, 2010 (UTC) I feel like I just got ran over again. I'm sorry if Coobrais having a bad day, or going through rough times, or he wanted to make changed to this himself and hadn't gotten around to it. This was not communicated. I can't guess. :( Sorry for taking on the bubba's alone and then coming to you for hlep. Readingwhatyousaid (talk) 15:52, July 27, 2010 (UTC)

  • Crap!

Now I got (2) bubba's mad at me. User: Gourra with 64,534 edits actaully deleted the history that shows bubba Coobra deleted my stuff. Creepy man. It's like a bunch of married people happily mad at each other, and you step in to make them happy, and they all get mad @ you for helping. /lol. Anyway, Gourra made the whole page look better, but now I'm not a contributor, and (2) bubba's are mad at me: 1) Adding content to the page; 2) For identifiying bubba#1 deleted my stuff.Readingwhatyousaid (talk) 16:01, July 27, 2010 (UTC)

Leogrimn

I would, but, like I just told Kaydee, I was horrible at manipulating wikia coding in the newer, simpler wikias. this place is three times as complex. I can fix spelling and grammar errors, true. But otherwise, I'm not much good.--Leo And his beloved lynx, Firestorm 02:21, August 30, 2010 (UTC)

Okay. I was just saying that you are free to do so. I can try to help you if you want me to.--SWM2448 02:24, August 30, 2010 (UTC)

Well...Alright. It's worth a try.--Leo And his beloved lynx, Firestorm 02:24, August 30, 2010 (UTC)

San'Layn

Dear Sandwichman, today i edited a page about the San'Layn, because i read the speculation article and thought it was interesting to find out. so i tested it, and it turned out that San'layn wasnt actually thalassian for Darkfallen. i decided to post this, since the speculation turned out to be WRONG. however, u deleted my changes. may i ask you why?

it wasnt a weird joke, it was pure out of interest and to update the page. the Speculation is at this point false, and i found out. why cant i others know? maybe it wasnt the right place to put it, but i thought there might have been people reading that speculation, and if it was just deleted in all its entirety it might confuse them.

so please, put the line i wrote back where it belongs, its the solid truth.
