Onyxia's Lair loot (Classic)

Template:Raid Dungeons Onyxia's Lair was introduced with Molten Core. Onyxia drops Tier 2 headpieces, as well as other fairly comparable loot.

Head of Onyxia

The [Head of Onyxia] can be used to start quests leading to  [60] Celebrating Good Times or  [60] For All to See. Turning in the head buffs everyone in the cities of Stormwind or Orgrimmar with [Rallying Cry of the Dragonslayer] for two hours if Onyxia's Head isn't up when turning in the quest. Players may choose between the following three rewards when completing the quest:

Boss Loot

Onyxia will drop two Tier 2 headpieces, the [Onyxia Hide Backpack], the [Head of Onyxia], and two other items.

A skinner with 315 skill can skin Onxyia to obtain two to four [Scale of Onyxia]. The scales are used to make [Onyxia Scale Cloak]. Their primary use, besides offering excellent fire resistance, is to protect the wearer from Shadow Flame. Shadow Flame is an attack used by the three drakes and Nefarian in Blackwing Lair.
