Dragonkin Menace in the Burning Steppes

To start the quest line, you must speak with Helendis Riverhorn at Morgan's Vigil in the southeastern part of Burning Steppes. Starts the quest Dragonkin Menace.

True Masters chain in Lakeshire and Stormwind

The next set of quests starts with The True Masters. You are sent to Lakeshire to Magistrate Solomon, then Stormwind Keep to Highlord Bolvar Fordragon, then Katrana Prestor right next to him, then back to Lakeshire and finally Morgan's Vigil again.

The search for Marshal Windsor in Blackrock Depths

Marshal Maxwell will give you the quest Marshal Windsor, in which you search for Ragged John who is located north of Ruins of Thaurissan in Burning Steppes.

After that, you need to return to Marshal Maxwell to get Abandoned Hope, which sends you to Blackrock Depths in search of Marshal Reginald Windsor. Find him here, and he will tell you to return to Marshal Maxwell.

Jailbreak from Blackrock Depths

Travel back to Blackrock Depths and hunt early mobs like Anvilrage Guardsmans, and Anvilrage Wardens. One of them will drop [A Crumpled Up Note]. These can even be found outside of the Blackrock Depths instance itself. Upon obtaining [A Crumpled Up Note], you will talk to Marshal Windsor once again. He will then give you A Shred of Hope. This requires you to kill General Angerforge and Golem Lord Argelmach in order to retrieve documents from each. Then return to Marshall Windsor to start the escort quest Jail Break!

Escorting Windsor first involves him getting some gear. This is best to do with a group and to have cleared the mobs outside ahead of time as Windsor can easily pull more than a group can handle. Once you successfully escort him out of Blackrock Depths, you will first go to Morgan's Vigil and hand in the quest,then meet up with him in Stormwind at the front gates with the quest Stormwind Rendezvous.

The Revelation in Stormwind Keep

Head to the Stormwind gates and talk to Squire Rowe. He will get Marshal Windsor. Talk to him to start The Great Masquerade. There is a lot of story which you should just watch - don't try to help.

Haleh directs you to Upper Blackrock Spire

Afterwards, you get [Fragment of the Dragon's Eye] and are told to restore its power. Do this in Winterspring with Haleh. She is located in the mountains south of Everlook (read here). She gives you the quest Drakefire Amulet so you can get [Blood of the Black Dragon Champion] in Upper Blackrock Spire. Completion of this quest will give you the [Drakefire Amulet] and in turn access to Onyxia's Lair.

-This is where it all begins. The lowest level you can probably find a group for this is 58. You talk to [[Warlord Goretooth]] at the top of the tower in [[Kargath]] in [[Badlands]], except you need to actually *talk* to him - he's got a conversation line (which is only available if you are level 55 or higher) you can follow through (around 6 pages or so) before he'll give you [[Warlord Goretooth's Command]], which starts the quest [[Quest:Warlord's Command|Warlord's Command]]. The quest requires that you run a 5-man [[Lower Blackrock Spire]], and kill all the leaders ([[Highlord Omokk]], [[War Master Voone]], and [[Overlord Wyrmthalak]]). NOTE: You also need to pick up [[Important Blackrock Documents]] that spawn near a random leader in LBRS. This is by far the hardest part of the Onyxia key questline.

You'll see two ledges sticking out of the wall further down, so make sure you aim for these. When you're all the way at the bottom here you'll be almost at the spiders. Careful pulling ahead is the key and make sure you avoid runners. After the spiders, ''make sure'' you look for the documents by the pile of skulls on the Ogre platform.
-Once Wyrmthalak is dead, check for documents and head back to the previous room that was full of orcs. Jump down the first crack and presto, Omokk is only one pull away! ''Check for docs again!'' Fight your way out of Omokk's area, across the bridge and jump down the first crack you get to (where Bijou is hiding). Fight your way down to the main floor of the troll area and make sure you take a right at the bottom fork of the ramp down there. Hugging the wall should get you to Voone in a total of 6-7 pulls from Bijou.
-This way should save you a lot of time since you skip a LOT of killing this way.
