- Morbent Fell

Morbent Fell was a Lich of the Scourge, though he was loyal to the Burning Legion and not to the Lich King.

Third War

The son of a minor Nobleman, Morbent despised most people and believed himself intended for greater things. A slight against his name and an altercation with a Farmer, made him flee from his comfortable life into exile in a quiet village. When the Scourge attacked, many villagers fled and the few that remained were slain and risen as the dead.

Locked in a room of the tavern, Morbent was struck with a moment of inspiration, pulling open the door he screamed his undying loyalty to the Scourge and threw himself on his own sword. This and his driving ambition were key to his rapid rise to leadership and power in the Scourge hierachy.

Scourge Civil War

During the Scourge Civil War, Fell became a follower of the dreadlord Balnazzar. During the Siege of Lordaeron, Fell commanded a faction of Undead dubbed the Dreadlord Loyalists and was presumably killed by the forces of Sylvanas, Varimathras and Garithos.

Morbent Fell considered himself above the shambling wretches he commanded and generally considered the Cult of the Damned and glorification of the rotting dead weak and humiliating. An opportunist to the end, Fell's greed for power drove for him to give his life in service to the Scourge and when given the chance, serve Balnazzar willing in the promise of even more demonic energies.

Note: While the name Morbent Fell is one of the random Lich names of Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos, and could appear in any mission where there are random liches, he is a static mob in the southern Dreadlord Loyalists camp in the mission, A New Power in Lordaeron.
