Mithril Ore is mined from Mithril Deposits, with a minimum mining skill of 175.
Sources
Mithril Deposits may be found in many areas where the typical creature level is between about 35 and 55.
Mithril Deposits are most frequently mined in:
- Badlands (best found in the eastern part of the area where all the Black Dragons are)
- Tanaris
- Searing Gorge
- The Hinterlands
- Stonetalon Mountains
- Arathi Highlands

Mithril Ore as an ingredient
- Mithril Ore is smelted into [Mithril Bar]s at a forge, requiring a mining skill of 175 or more.
- Mithril Ore can be prospected (consuming 5 ore) with a Jewelcrafting skill of 175 or more, resulting in:

- [Aquamarine] (44%)
- [Star Ruby] (38%)
