Maws is a straightforward boss fight in the waters of Azshara. There is no need to submerge during this encounter, so [[Water Breathing]] is not necessary. Maws will hit the [[MT]] pretty hard and somewhat sporadically so you need a fair amount of healers on him. Maws will [[frenzy]], so it is important that your [[hunter]]s use a [[Tranquilizing Shot]] when this occurs. Maws enrages every 25 seconds, and every 15 seconds when his health reaches 20%. When Maws is below 20%, he will occasionally [[AoE]] for 2000-3000 damage every 15 seconds. [[Prayer of Healing]] should be able to keep all raid members up due to the long interval between AoE ticks.
