Any time you score 2 non-periodic critical strikes in a row with your Fireball, Frostfire Bolt, Scorch, Pyroblast, or Fire Blast spells, you have a X% chance to trigger your Hot Streak effect.
Improved Hot Streak gives the fire mage a guaranteed [Hot Streak] after two consecutive critical strikes with [Fireball], [Frostfire Bolt], [Scorch], [Pyroblast], or [Fire Blast]. Between this talent and the Hot Streak talent, the old functionality of Hot Streak is replicated, with the added bonus of getting a Hot Streak from single critical strikes occasionally.
[Improved Scorch], [Firestarter], and the Hot Streak talents can be used together to effectively deal damage while on the run, since you can cast free Scorches and instant Pyroblasts while moving with some Hot Streak procs.
