Unlike the Forsaken serving the Horde who are classified as humanoid, Grummus was susceptible to anti-undead spells like [Turn Undead].
Its possible his name is a reference to the Grimace, being that they share a very vaguely similar shape and colouring (Note Grummus' slight purple hue).
Grummus may also be a reference to an NPC of the same name in Everquest who shares a similar appearance.
