Druid abilities are wide-ranging, enabling the druid to specialize in any of the main roles required for the game. Balance spells are spells that mostly deal strong nature damage, restoration spells allows the druid to heal their party and better support it as a whole and feral combat abilities let the druid specialize in either tanking or melee damage.

The only abilities which require the druid to be in a certain form are feral abilities, and in some cases (Spell nature forceofnature [Moonkin Form] and Tree of Life) being in a certain form will actually limit the abilities available to the druid, but at the same time enhance the key abilities to these forms. It's important to be careful to check what form you are in, as shapeshifting is automatically broken if you attempt to cast the wrong spell or use the wrong ability, while on the other hand there are important times to purposefully switch forms no matter what spell/action is taking place. This is because switching between any form to another will automatically break the druid free of any immobilizing or polymorph effects such as: Snare , Root, and Spell nature polymorph [Polymorph].

Druids can learn from a trainer the following forms: Ability druid catform [Cat Form], Ability racial bearform [Bear Form], Ability druid travelform [Travel Form], Ability druid aquaticform [Aquatic Form], Ability druid flightform [Flight Form] and Ability druid flightform [Swift Flight Form]. Spell nature forceofnature [Moonkin Form] and Tree of Life (the latter being cooldown-based) are acquired through talents in the Balance and Restoration trees respectively. Feral abilities are only usable when in Ability racial bearform [Bear Form] or Ability druid catform [Cat Form]. Some Feral abilities are further differentiated by only being usable in Ability racial bearform [Bear Form] OR Ability druid catform [Cat Form].


Trainable Abilities

In the table below, a (B) after the word "Feral" means that ability can only be used in Ability racial bearform [Bear Form], and a (C) means the ability can only be used in Ability druid catform [Cat Form].

The following abilities are available to all druids of the appropriate level, regardless of talent spec.
