[[Balance]] spells are spells that mostly deal strong nature damage, [[restoration]] spells allows the druid to heal their party and better support it as a whole and [[feral]] combat abilities let the druid specialize in either tanking or melee damage.

The only abilities which require the druid to be in a certain form are feral abilities, and in some cases ([[Moonkin Form]] and [[Tree of Life (druid ability)|Tree of Life]]) being in a certain form will actually limit the abilities available to the druid, but at the same time enhance the key abilities to these forms. It's important to be careful to check what form you are in, as shapeshifting is automatically broken if you attempt to cast the wrong spell or use the wrong ability, while on the other hand there are important times to purposefully switch forms no matter what spell/action is taking place. This is because switching between any form to another will automatically break the druid free of any immobilizing or polymorph effects such as: [[Snare]] , [[Root]], and [[Polymorph]].

Druids can learn from a trainer the following forms: [[Cat Form]], [[Bear Form]], [[Travel Form]], [[Aquatic Form]], [[Flight Form]] and [[Swift Flight Form]]. [[Moonkin Form]] and [[Tree of Life (druid ability)|Tree of Life]] (the latter being cooldown-based) are acquired through [[Druid talents|talents]] in the Balance and Restoration trees respectively. Feral abilities are only usable when in [[Bear Form]] or [[Cat Form]]. Some Feral abilities are further differentiated by only being usable in [[Bear Form]] OR [[Cat Form]].

User Interface

  • Flight Points
  • Stormwind's banner on the Elwynn Forest and Stormwind City maps has had a slight text cleanup.
  • The location of the Track Quest check-box on the map has moved slightly to the right.
  • The Options menu now has a new option, "Languages."
  • The Interface menu has renamed the Raid Frames to Raid Profiles.
    • Now allows auto-activation dependent on group size, talent spec and PvP/PvE.
    • Now allows you to save multiple profiles.
  • New option: Colorblind-Mode, which displays unit reactions and item qualities in tooltips and adds additional information to several other interfaces.
  • New option: Show Move Pad, a mouse clickable UI frame for movement and jumping.

Terrain

  • The red glow at the top of the castle towers in Stormwind City doesn't glow as much as it used to, and the wood texture of the castle tower has a newer look to it
    • The mini-map in this area also has had some refinements, including orange for the castle towers
